Alright… over $1000 a sqft for a 90 year old home – no big deal. Been there, done that.

Ok, so it’s in Campbell and not Cupertino or Palo Alto. That’s just a little strange.

But then comes the kicker:

  1. JackJack Says:

The price now is 550,000. A 30% drop in a week?!

  2. Shaun Says:

    What, no granite?

  3. NVmojo Says:

What a creepy photo of a very creepy room!

  4. Ken Says:

All it’s missing is 500 half-feral cats whizzing over everything and the camera crew from Animal Cops: San Fran.

I found this loser house when doing searches on ziprealty a few months back and bookmarked it to see how it was doing. This one is a canary in a coal mine for me. If someone actually buys it, I will know that Bay Area buyers are out of their minds.

Looking today, I see it is still sitting at $550K (price was reduced back on 7/24/2006).

So, it has been sitting for over 300 days…. Time to drop the price again? If it drops by another $250K it might begin to enter the realm of possibility for some (not me).

Note: ziprealty shows 3 bedrooms in Cambell for under $600K currently. Why pay almost as much for this glorified shack!?!?

  6. Must walk 2 work Says:

Ejamie, you call the shack “glorified?”
    You’re far too generous.
Update, looks like this house has seen some action:

    8/3/2007 Sale Price: $200,000
    6/15/2007 Sale Price: $525,000
