Todd was a donor. The owner/editor of this site is simply named Burbed.

Anyway, you can look through zillow to see what people paid in property taxes in 2006. Property taxes are generally lower here than in NJ where they are pretty steep. They're also locked so once you buy, you get to push the cost of the police/etc to the new comers to your neighborhood. And encourages horrible schools:

In any case, check out this site on Monday for a great affordable fixer upper!

Hi all,

Living in NJ and about to get a job offer from a company in Sunnyvale.

Seriously depressed with what is available in the valley.

Any suggestions on where to look for a fixer upper or is the whole valley totally berserk?

Also, what are the property taxes in the valley? Looking at MLS and it gives the price but no tax estimate . . . so no idea how much to tack on to the monthly mortgage.

By the way. Great site Todd.

Thanks
-Peter
