OMG! This person is a Loan Office and Realtor! Sweet! I’m definitely going to be a winner working with this person! It’s impossible to find people like that – it’s like being a JD and a MD! You need thousands of years to get both licenses!
BTW, to the owner of this house- aren’t you curious as to why not a single line of text was actually about your house on this ad?
Oh… right… you’re not the winner.

I think my parents met this realtor forty years back.
My mom meets with her potential realtor one day, and he takes her on a tour of the Bay Area town where she’s looking. He shows her five houses, takes her back to the office, and says “So which one of the houses do you want to submit an offer for?”
Bad question.
No, my mom doesn’t want to buy any of those. No, my mom isn’t going to buy one of the first five houses she sees. No, my mom isn’t going to use that realtor again.
My parents also had the bad luck (or good luck) to only ever buy or sell houses in the Bay Area during bad markets — during high interest rates in the ’60′s, or in the early 1990 fallout of the Loma Prieta earthquake and the S&L collapses. When my sis and I were looking for houses at different times, they were just floored that we couldn’t negotiate prices, that the houses were sold as-is, or that we had to compete against multiple bidders.
At least we can be pretty sure we’ll get back to the days of a buyer’s market one of these days. Or are we there yet?
