There’s nothing particularly wrong with this house - after all, $599k is a great price for a house in savvy Gilroy.
Well, except for the fact that this sold last year for $625,000.
Bubbleheads will quickly point out that this is proof that the Bay Area doesn’t always appreciate. To those freaks, I say “Get real - Gilroy isn’t in the Bay Area!” As we all know, the Bay Area ends at the last Cupertino exit on 85.

Gilroy is in a world of hurt, and it’s not hard to see why - this kind of money will get you a similar size house in some of the best parts of San Jose (say, the Fruitdale area).

Slightly off topic:
I counted 7 for sale signs on my way to work, today, on a small stretch of Middlefield between Moffet and Calderon. These are all condo/townhome properties. Past couple of years the number averaged just over ZERO. Signs of things to come??
