Hardwood floors all around, close to school and park, minutes away from great mall close access to 680 880 101. Beautiful front and back yard! Short sale!! All terms and conditions subject to lenders approval
Oh yes, those beautiful front and back yards are so beautiful that this school is featured instead.
I feel kind of misled – I really thought I could buy this school at this price point. I’d turn it into a chip factory so that neighborhood children can work there, so as to help their parents pay the mortgage. It’s all about the 4 income family baby!

Isn’t there a big ass prison around there? 630k to live near a prison. Because it’s in the bay area, and our prisons must be special here too.

Always cracks me up to see pie-in-the-sky descriptions of houses for sale, only to find that they can’t even bring themselves to show one picture of the outside. Proof that the house can’t sell itself for the price they’re asking and indicative of overall bay area insanity.

Yes, Elmwood Jail is just five/six block away.

To be fair, if you click the link, they do have photos of the house. It’s just not the first one.

This house was sold for 650K last year. So Milpitas is joining Antioch.

I believe Milpas means fields, as in agricultural fields, in Spanish; therefore, Milpitas means “little fields”. However, the only “milpa” in Milpitas is the garbage dump. It smells great in the summertime.

There are some pretty fields with cows bordering Piedmont up by the foothills. That smells pretty wonderful too, by the way.

Let it suffice to say that in the BA the town is referred to, and I use a scientific term here, “milpenis”.

In all fairness when I was out in the BA I visited fairly often – who can resist a town with a swoopy bridge that goes over a bunch of cool train tracks, Lee’s Sandwiches, a cool roller rink, Lee’s Sandwiches, the new big Excess Solutions electronics surplus place, and …. Lee’s Sandwiches.
Did I mention Lee’s Sandwiches? Also a thrift store that I’ve never been able to figure out how to get into, since Milpitas is really Spanish for “A Freeway Runs Through It” and the place is only visible as one has just gone by at high speed. Gotta be some good deals in there!

I’m perplexed by the fans of Lee’s Sandwiches. Very perplexed.

ESR: regarding that thrift store, do you mean the Big Lots on Calaveras?
