A photo from Morgan Hill

Thanks to Burbed reader Ek for this photo:

Further proof that Morgan Hill isn’t in The Real Bay Area, and that you need to visit Scott Murray.

Thanks Ek.

Those people with these houses for sale should call Steve in Silicon Valley. He is a real estate genius. Just ask him, he will help you.

  2. Pralay Says:

Whole street for sale! First I thought these are new homes. Then I noticed mailbox and christmas lights.

  3. Austin Powers Says:

Come on people those are all homes owned by Scott Murray…he is the well known and famous flipper from the other Bay Area of Morgan Hill. 1….be a real estate agent. 2….buy homes on NINJA loans 3…..Flipp them and make 20-25%. 4. relist homes for less than you paid ….pricesless

  4. Jim D Says:

I think that the people of Morgan Hill are confused – they still think they’re in the Real Bay Area.

Why, there’s only 2 3BR SFRs for sale for under $500k in the whole town!

And this, where the rents for those same places are around $2300. Goodness. When will they realize that they’re not in the Bay Area? Soon, I think, given that picture above.

  5. ex-sunnyvale-renter Says:

There are bigger forests of signs to be found in the “real” Bay Area.

  6. Tyrone Says:

I just got back from a jog, and I saw something I found quite amusing. It was just an Intero agent’s sign. Her name… Leah Ball.
    Leah “Low” Ball

  7. Austin Powers Says:

but guess what you can learn more about your agent.

  8. ex-sunnyvale-renter Says:

She doesn’t exist, maybe her real name is Wun Hung Low.

  9. Austin Powers Says:

no she does look by last name then , the first name

  10. Permarent Says:

Ha! But two separate realtors just this weekend assured me that the housing market is JUST FINE.

  11. Bala Says:

Look at yesteday’s Mercury News’ real estate section to see why Morgan Hill is not part of the “Real” Bay Area. If you missed it, here’s the link:

New homes up for auction. $900k+ homes up for bids starting at $475k+

    Instant equity or is it?

    Will other builders follow suit?

  12. anon Says:

What in the world makes up the “Real” Bay Area. A place no one can afford to live?

  14. Renter4 Says:

    Gosh, that’s awful.

I’m in a slice of “real” BA, and the “condo complex” next to me (really a clapped-out apartment building, with, I’m guessing, granite countertops) has been nearly empty since April 2007. It makes me feel a bit sad to see the dark windows over the hopeful signs.

Not sad enough to *buy* in the building, though.

  15. John Says:

Chip from Altera! He settled me down in mh, and was great!

  16. MorganHiller Says:

This is new development. You will notices that the house with the Christmas lights in front does not have a sign in front. Today all of those home have been either sold or rented by the developer. While the prices of homes in nearby cities are dropping like a rock, Morgan Hill’s limited growth policy has helped protect housing prices. That is is a perk for living in a quiet, family oriented community a bit outside of the rat race.
