Well maintained home in desired Cupertino location. Spacious yard with over 12,000 sq. ft, mature landscaping and in-ground pool. 2 fireplaces, newer compostion roof, covered patio. Current schools include: Monta Vista High School, Kennedy Middle School, Stevens Creek Elementary.
In a word, Cupertino.
That word trounces Greenwich in every way. In fact, if you read up on Greenwich, you’ll learn that’s where John Sculley, the former Apple CEO who got rid of Steve Jobs, currently lives in. Is that where you want to live? Near the guy who got rid of Steve Jobs?
No. Of course not. You’d rather live near where Steve Jobs works today… where $1.3 million dollar houses have interiors like this:
I don’t think you can get that anywhere anymore. And that’s what makes this house so special.
It’s been a long week, but I think by now, you too are convinced that Greenwich is a terrible place to live. Just because people there make tons of money and the houses look nice doesn’t mean anything.
If it’s not in the Bay Area, it’s no good.

“Monta Vista”, that word is worth $1.3 million right there!

Hard to beat the location.. the plot alone is worth about $1.1 million, but that means the property is overvalued by about, oh, $200,000..

I wouldn’t pay more than $400k for that dump if I wanted to live in it.

“I wouldn’t pay more than $400k for that dump if I wanted to live in it.”
That seller is on crack.
Look at this equivalent house in Los Gatos:

Bigger, newer, nicer and has a pool. And if anyone knows Los Gatos, Shannon Road is a very posh location at the base and into the Los Gatos mountains.
That Cupertino house isn’t worth half of what they are asking. If that.

Los Gatos is nice if you don’t need to work, else it turns into Los Hellish Commute. Who wants to drive a freakin hour just to get some Pho?

Wow look at that kitchen. Just think of what Rachael Ray would do in that kitchen. OK ok, wait, run out of it screaming….
Cooking is so proletarian anyway.

“Los Gatos is nice if you don’t need to work, else it turns into Los Hellish Commute. Who wants to drive a freakin hour just to get some Pho?”
Of course. That clearly justifies Cupertino’s prices. My mistake.
Because any millionaire worth his salt who had a choice of Los Gatos, Saratoga or Los Altos would CLEARLY opt for Cupertino.

“Wow look at that kitchen. Just think of what Rachael Ray would do in that kitchen. OK ok, wait, run out of it screaming….”
Come now! This is the Bay Area. Us high priced, well educated individuals can’t be bothered with cooking. We do take out! Only the finest sushi or italian cuisine ever enters our pretentious stomachs.
Why if anything, that kitchen should be converted to as extra bedroom.

This house is a dump! At least as far as a 1.3 mil dump goes. If the Brady house threw up, this is what it would look like.

Let me guess. Some old couple who put $0 into this thing during the lasts 35 years, wants to cash out at some exhorbitant price and retire in some fancy south Florida or Arizona community. Dream on…

funny thing is that the house is pending sale in less than one week with multiple offers
February 1st, 2008 at 8:12 pm
oops forgot multiple offers OVER asking. We have to admit it is prime location…its the uppercrust of Cupertino.

Hey, justing noticing the street name. I actually know somebody who live on that block! No wonder, that’s primo Cupertino. It doesn’t get much better than this. Some of you amateurs don’t recognize a great deal if it hits you in the face. This is an estate lot! The house doesn’t matter. The new owner will tear it down anyways.
