Follow up on 652 Stanford in Redwood City
Last April, Burbed tried to visit this open house, but couldn’t find a parking spot:
What’s the 5th most affordable home in Redwood City like? [Burbed.com]
Fortunately, this house is still on the market! Let’s take a look!
Hm… according to zillow, this was last sold on 11/13/2007 for $499,000.
Yep, I’m pretty sure that you can say that they’re giving this house away!
BTW, you may want to bring a philosophy majoring friend with you as this house may have Not Positive sqft. If the sqft is negative, and you go in, what does that make you?

The last sale was when it went back to the bank. It’s now an REO.

Well, real estate is one of the best investments you can own. Considering all the houses that bank owns, it must be on the path to limitless wealth!

Shed for extra storage. I love it. I’m betting that this means “hey there is literally 560 sq ft in this hellhole you sold your soul for. There is NO place to put your pots/pans/dishes. No room for that computer desk! Big screen TV? It better be flat and hanging on the wall there Bub or it’s out in the shed!”
Although, there goes your dream of sweet passive income by renting out the “shed” to a family of 4.
Or the meth lab.
I’ll bet it has a Sub Zero fridge and a Viking Professional Oven/Range that combined takes up 10% of the square footage though.
I see a place like this, and all I can think is man am I a sucker living in Portland, OR in a 2400 sq ft house on a 10,000 sq ft lot for less than 1/2 of what this sweet property sold for last.
Not special here though. And it rains. It NEVER rains in the Bay Area.

Is there a hall-of-fame post for grammatical errors, misspellings, and incomplete sentences?
On a side note, I wanted to become a used house sales person, but I heard you had to take a test, is this correct?

I like the “unwarranted bathroom”. Like, there’s no reason to have a bathroom?

The previous owner refinanced to $548.5K (1st loan $480K, 2nd loan $60.5K) on 9/11/2006. 1st loan lender would lose at least $100K, 2nd loan lender lost all its $60.5K. The smart home owner virtually did not lose a dime.

Looks like you can park at least 5 cars there, that’s a plus in the BA. And yeah, get a flatscreen and put it on the wall, because you won’t have room otherwise – that was the situation in the 375 sq. ft. hellhole apt that cost me $800 in Slummyvale, and now that same shithole rents for $1200.
So, you can house 5 drivers and maybe a couple’a more people who get around by bike. All work for the standard BA wage of $10 an hour. Say you’re as a group bringing in $70/hr plus all you can dumpster-dive. Yeah, it can work.

Where’s RealEstater?
$200,000 loss. Is Redwood City not the “core Bay Area”??????
