Burbed reader Edward sent this in… apparently he feels that I give too much love to Redwood City and San Jose. I suppose so.
In particular, Edward was amazed that you could buy 3 deer for $1 million - he forgets that they’re very special deer. Probably the most open minded, Web 2.0 savvy deer there is.
Personally, I’m a bit surprised at the ad: look at that instant equity! How can any one resist. Buy it, refi it, and boom - suddenly you’ve got enough money to invest in assets like a nice car to go with your new millionaire status!
How can any one resist!
Thanks Edward!

I lived in a very similar area for many years. There’s nothing quite like never knowing if a deer is going to dash out in front of you and destroy your car, or finding a fresh roadkill someone left on your lawn, or eating dinner while they mosey around and pee on your lawn outside.

minimal landscaping… because the deer eat everything you plant!

How is deer going to live on a 3000 sq. ft. lot?
February 26th, 2008 at 10:56 am
The 3 deers will mate and double its population every year. Within 10 years, you will have 3000 deers. And commodity (beef, pork, deer meat) price will skyrocket in 10 years. Those 3000 deers will be worth more than $1M.

I was just going to say, deer? Why do you want to pay for something that’s going to eat your veggies, jump out in front of your car, etc?
Stupid deer.

“City lights view” = you can easily see Larry Land (that’s Oracle) in the not-far-enough distance. Breathtaking, isn’t it?
