We’re #1: Most expensive place for business

Survey: San Jose ranks as most expensive place for business in large U.S. cities – Silicon Valley / San Jose Business Journal:
San Jose is the most expensive places to do business in the U.S., according to a study released Monday by KPMG LLP.

The audit, tax and advisory firm cited the high labor costs of San Jose’s technology-based economy. The next most expensive place was New York.

San Jose had a cost index of 110; New York came in a close second with 109.2.

CONGRATS to the Bay Area! OMG I’m so happy that we were able to beat New York.

Congrats! We beat them in shopping (Santa Row), we beat them in landmarks (Winchester Mystery House), we beat them in culture (San Jose Museum of Art.) We even beat their metropolitan area in housing prices!

And now we beat them for cost of doing business. Yes! Yes! Yes!

Now… we just need to beat Manhattan on housing prices! Come on everyone – we can do it!

HA HA! April’s Fool Day!

Got you didn’t I? Bet you were all scared – ZOMG, an affordable SFH with Top Schools? What is Silicon Valley becoming?

Well take a deep breath – fortunately I didn’t find one. Instead, I found one in so-called expensive New Jersey.

I mean, compare that $515ker to this $512ker beaut that we saw yesterday:

As they would say in NJ – fughetaboutit!

Are you ok? Calm down! It was just a joke. There’s no affordable single family homes in top national school districts here. It’s ok… It’s ok… breathe!
