Let’s look at the key selling points of this house:

1. Amazing security system. You will not feel safer in any house. With bars on the windows and doors, you can be sure that your family will be safe at night - unlike those losers in neighborhoods that don’t have bars. Remember, it’s like the Bear theory - you only need to outrun your friend, not the bear. This tactic is guaranteed to send the criminals to Los Altos instead.

2. Check out the green-ness of this house. That’s right - no yard means no grass means no evil pesticides, wasting water, etc. Think globally, act locally by buying this house.

3. Stop sign. Everyone is going to have to stop at your house and look. Look at your house. PRIDE OF OWNERSHIP BABY!

4. This house comes with an additional dirty kitchen that’s not recorded. Everyone knows that real chefs have real dirty kitchens. Finally, you can explore your culinary skills and produce authentic food.

And for just $628,000! What are you waiting for!

  1. Jay Says:

The throw pillows alone are worth the price.

Though it appears they installed the kitchen sideways.. someone will have to fix that.

  2. Christina Says:

The price has dropped already - $599k according to the site. BUT I have to agree the pillows and the faux brick fire place are what make the place

  3. Christina Says:

Oops I mean $559k… EVEN BETTER.

Also I would love to see what the rest of this street looks like?!?! Seriously your kids will SIGN language if they live here - LIKE EAAAAAAST side, yo!!

  4. DensityDuck Says:

I’ll only buy it if it comes with the high-gloss cherry furniture and the off-the-Home-Depot-rack throw rugs.

  5. sonarrat Says:

And it’s on a corner lot facing McKee Road, between King and Jackson. Yeah.

  6. rick Says:

There is a library and middle school in the neighborhood, also a small park and a night school. The neighborhood doesn’t seem to be that bad, though the closer to McKee the worse it gets.

  7. Winston Says:

    As the smog flies
On a cold and gray East San Jose mornin’
A poor little baby child is born
    In the ghetto
    And his mama cries
’cause if there’s one thing that she don’t need
it’s another hungry mouth to feed
    In the ghetto

    People, don’t you understand
the child needs a helping hand
or he’ll grow to be an angry young man some day
Take a look at you and me,
are we too blind to see,
do we simply turn our heads
    and look the other way

    Well the world turns
and a hungry little boy with a runny nose
plays in the street as the cold wind blows
    In the ghetto

    And his hunger burns
so he starts to roam the streets at night
and he learns how to steal
and he learns how to fight
    In the ghetto

    Then one night in desperation
    a young man breaks away
He buys a gun, steals a car,
tries to run, but he don’t get far
    And his mama cries

As a crowd gathers ’round an angry young man
face down on the street with a gun in his hand
    In the ghetto

    As her young man dies,
on a cold and gray East San Jose mornin’,
another little baby child is born
    In the ghetto

  8. Pralay Says:

This guy bought this for $516K in 2004 and is in trouble with his first loan. The zillow’s estimate (which overestimates all the time) is $609K. But still this guy is asking for $629K in this market. That tells how delusional this guy is.

  9. rick Says:

This house should only worth 300kish (or less) in 98, back then houses north of Mabury were in the 300kish. I wish this FB keep his head high and not lower his price while we race to the bottom.

  10. mrbogue Says:

    Now from that ghetto
    ghetto, ghetto, ghetto, ghetto
Got one foot in, one foot out…
    of the ghetto
    ghetto, ghetto, ghetto, ghetto
That’s why I know the things I know!

    In the ghetto
    ghetto, ghetto, ghetto, ghetto
And some of my friends done died befo’
    in the ghetto
    ghetto, ghetto, ghetto, ghetto
That’s why I can’t seem to let go

  11. tony Says:

Another price drop! Now it is $559,980 !! Good job Burbed. This is how markets are made! The bank will be lucky to get 350k for this dump. What do you think?

  12. DreamT Says:

Stop sign, what a great idea! Do his neighbors on the right and left also have their own stop signs? If I was his neighbor, I would request one too.

  13. RealEstater Says:

This is what life looks like outside the Real Bay Area!

  14. nima_nt Says:

can anyone explain to me what’s dirty kitchen included? does that mean an additional “dirty” kitchen, or the kitchen is dirty. if the first case, why the house needs 2 kitchens? and if the second case, why can they clean the kitchen instead of telling every1 is kitchen is dirty.

  15. madhaus Says:

What’s with that photo of the room with the white tile? It’s totally swamped by the light coming through the window, because whoever took the shot centered on the window and didn’t use a flash to compensate. Is the photographer a would-be artist, trying to demonstrate the futility of staging in an East San Jose neighborhood?

Jay, the kitchen is not installed sideways. That is a loft kitchen. That’s the one that is recorded. The dirty kitchen has the appliances and counters installed on the floor instead of the walls.

How much you wanna bet that the buyer refinanced this loan and used the house like an ATM, pulling out a bunch of cash for that extra dirty kitchen, and that’s why he’s underwater?

    Stop, baby, what’s that sign?
Everyone look what’s going down… house prices!

  16. burbed Says:

Wow… so a dirty kitchen is a real term?

  17. Pralay Says:

Everyone look what’s going down… house prices!
    ————-

    But that’s just non-RBA, right?

  18. Frank Jewett Says:

The “bird’s eye view” indicates this property is a white sedan. Way-ay to go, Movoto.

  19. madhaus Says:

I think this explains the “dirty kitchen”:

Not that its filthy, more that the dirty kitchen is its official title in the house.

Now I am not sure if this is a Filipino-only thing, but in Philippines houses have 2 kitchens. One for show and one to actually use—the hidden kitchen where all the action happens; where things are spilled and chopped and fried. The other one (the show kitchen) remains pristine leaving guests to wonder: Where did they cook this?

    This is in Manila, Philippines.

  20. DensityDuck Says:

The “dirty kitchen” is where you do the actual cooking. The “clean kitchen” is used for short-term storage, serving, and light prep; more of a show-off area than an actual working space. The idea is that you can do all the messy stuff in an out-of-the-way area, then present all the food in your pristine Pergransteel wonderland.

  21. DensityDuck Says:

Dangit, madhouse googled it the same time that I did.

  22. madhaus Says:

    Weakness seldom differs, Duck.

  23. rick Says:

Haha, I learn something new: dirty kitchen is a real term, though it is pretty hard to associate it nicely with this dirty house.
