Seller willing to negotiation $0.00 off price

Sent in from an anonymous Burbed reader. Frankly, I think this is an amazing example of how generous some Bay Area sellers are. For example, this seller realizes that some people simply need to negotiate in order to feel good about their purchase – so that they feel that they did their due dilligence.

So go ahead, negotiate! This seller is willing to give away his house! Just bring in an offer of $1,385,000 and there’s no doubt this seller will work to make it happen. Go for it!

Sheesh, you greedy renters. What will you want next? No wonder you’re not on the escalator to riches…

It’s even better: Seller willing to negotiate -$27,000 off the price. You bargain with him and he’ll jack up the price a few tens of thousands just to make you happy.

Great catch, Sean. I’ve actually known this to happen to someone. He was trying to buy a foreclosure from some government agency and after his offer they raised the price on their counter-offer.

The house was listed on redfin but the listing was removed. Propertyshark shows no title docs on file which means the owner’s been there a while – with a $350K assessment I would guess late 1980s. Clearly someone sitting on a pile of equity with an expanding hole in the bottom. But – it’s a quarter-acre lot! That means it really is a free house!

No, this is just an example of a stupid agent who didn’t proofread his/her ad before they sent it off. And we wonder why there are so many disputes and lawsuits in real estate.

Attention to detail is rapidly becoming a lost art…
