Great catch, &lt;b&gt;Sean&lt;/b&gt;.  I&#039;ve actually known this to happen to someone.  He was trying to buy a foreclosure from some government agency and after his offer they raised the price on their counter-offer.

The house was listed on redfin but the listing was removed.  Propertyshark shows no title docs on file which means the owner&#039;s been there a while - with a $350K assessment I would guess late 1980s.  Clearly someone sitting on a pile of equity with an expanding hole in the bottom.  But - it&#039;s a quarter-acre lot!  That means it really is a free house!</description>
