Alright, this is the last East Palo Alto home I’ll feature this week - I promise.
Now, there’s a lot to talk about for this home - after all, it has a newer iron fence, lush landscaping, and a garage converted into a bonus room.
But what strikes me the most is the photo of the house. It’s so unique. So avant garde. So photojournalistic. So raw. So gritty.
So it’s time to put on your thinking caps. Can you come up with a good back story about how this photo was taken, or why this photo is the way it is?
To quote a recent realtor: BE CREATIVE!

“Insignificant Real Estate Blog dies from over exposure to crime-ridden ghetto city East Palo Alto”
Enjoy the DIE OFF, Jerk Off.

This photo was taken tilted(off the horizontal)which gives it a twilght zone feel. It also has an under exposed forground which indicates the sky was used to meter off of possibly. Gives the photo a sort of creepy feel I think. I think whoever took this may have been under the influence ;-).
Glad this is the last EPA shelter, at least for a while eh…

Easy. The photo was taken by the Realtor from her car because She’s probably too scared to actually get out and take it standing in the yard and risk being grazed by stray bullets. Seeing as how the image appears to have some blurring, She probably didn’t even stop the car either.
By the way, She ought to mention that the new Iron fence will keep buglers away.If they slip, they’ll skewer themselves on the spikes. Excellent tactic. So much more attractive that the former fence made out of concrete walls with broken beer bottles embedded in the top.
So… what’s up with the RE investors here? Can’t they see that this week has had nothing but instant-moneymaking-deals? Go out there and buy these little gems!

Country club living at Costco prices! Come enjoy all that EPA has to offer, including close proximity to businesses and services like IKEA, Home Depot, Taco Bell and Jones Mortuary. Newer iron gate offers illusion of living in an exclusive gated community. And special slanted foundation ensures rain runoff will spill into the street and not flood house during the winter El Nino storms. Act now; the house won’t last long at this price!

“also- comes with a 1990 Toyota Camry, pre-parked in the driveway. One WHOLE bathroom upgraded from the former outhouse. Enjoy urinating indoors, all the while feeling good that you’re now a homeowner.”

Yeah, I hate it when they congregate in my front year playing Reveille at 4:30 in the morning. What’s worse, one of them might be named Joshua, and my walls will come a-tumblin’ down.

PARTY LIKE IT’S 1999!
That’s the price level in East Palo Alto! This home sold for $420,000 in 2001.
That’s why the picture is tilted. The real estate agent is schnockered from all the celebrating.

Another tech gal with amazing hitech ability - she transfered all six images directly from camera to MLS listing uploading site. Only one minor glitch - she took same pictures with small variations (like a photographic professionals) and all got uploaded.
And, yes, there are is a “driveway for two vehicles”. As the garage is converted to “bonus room”, you do need tell that.

Pulgas means ‘fleas’ in Spanish. I’m sure this is not a mischaracterization.

July 11th, 2008 at 12:12 pm
Pralay,
I highly approve your avatar image. I bet Realestater will like it too.
July 11th, 2008 at 12:19 pm
Where is RealEstater? Did the nice men in the white coats and the butterfly net take him on vacation?

In last winter I was living cold.

First of all I am not watering lawn in RBA (Santa Clara is little bit off from RBA).
Secondly, I am watering landlord’s lawn.
Thirdly and most importantly, I am not complying with the sprint of RBA by buying a RBA home in inflated price (hence funding for the his retirement).
There is nothing to like about me and my avatar.

You keep your avatar and that water away from my Strat!

BTW, is this house moving upward or sliding downward? I mean elevation (not price).

I don’t know where he went either. Disappointing because I found a site for him:

ha ha!
Anyhow, how do you make your avatar here? I have an image.
July 11th, 2008 at 2:42 pm
At that price they don’t even need a picture! OWN A PIECE OF TWEAKER LAND…TURN BONUS ROOM INTO PRIVATE POT FARM.

To make an avatar, you need to register at gravatar.com
Be sure to show that you’re living cold in winter!

Earth is shaking!
July 11th, 2008 at 4:26 pm
Looks like the RBA is shrinking. This is even worse than them not making any more land!
Am I the only one who is worried that if the Real Bay Area ceases to exist, we may cease to exist as well? This has been keeping me up at night.

To go back on topic, it’s obvious that the picture was taken during a storm. The boat didn’t capsize though, and the picture still came out OK.

This is the latest Mystery Spot, and tourists get a bonus: They have to dodge the drug dealers, pimps and prosti-teens on the way to the ticket booth, which is the house! When you enter, you disappear, never to be heard from again (which is why there are no interior shots).

burbed, what’s with the extended downtime? Are we blaming these pesky Filipinos again? First they dominate Mz World, then they commit Hoodwinked, and now they prevent us from posting! Or are we blaming another country this time?
