Just 4 homes at Gables End!
OH MY GOD! There’s only 4 homes left! They’re not making any more! This is it guys – if you don’t buy one right now, you’ll never be able to afford living near Google again!
And to think that some of you said this recently:

August 15th, 2008 at 5:39 pmThose “sold” signs are faked to make sucker buyers think that sales are brisk and to promote sucker sales. A friend and I noticed four “sold” signs in the windows of several units of a new townhome complex near his place in San Jose, and when we asked the guy in the office how come nobody is moving in, he got really evasive and said that was not public knowledge. So I inquired myself down at City Hall, and much to my (un)surprise…..the signs were faked; there were zero sales recorded since the place opened three months ago! I told the office guy there was no record of sales AT ALL for his complex, and he got really angry then. I still haven’t seen ANYBODY move into any of the units. We are thinking of changing the “Now Selling” sign out front to “NOT SELLING.”
Can you say “Fall Bounce”?

If they were selling that great, why would they be willing to “deal” on the final four homes? You’d think they would hold out for a bidding war.

“four remaining houses in Phase 1″ – “Final opportunity to purchase a Phase 1 price”
Phase 2 will probably start when Mountain View police arrests the last 2 suspects in the double murder that took place right next to Gables End, and will see prices starting at $888K.

these should sell for 450K or less. They are way overpriced vs market prices now. The owners should take what they can get and get out, this is next to a freeway on a superfund site and its a bunch of CONDOs.

I just realized this is the 5th time Gables End is featured on http://www.burbed.com (May 18, June 3, July 5, August 15 and September 6).
Congratulations Gables End! See you in October!

Everytime I drive by, I’m amused by the giant SOLD signs. If only I had a digital SLR and the guts to pull over along 101, I’d go take a photo.

I bet anyone silly enough to want to buy here would have a tough time with financing. How to get it to appraise? How high does the down payment on a condo have to be in CA these days? 30%?

I bet they decided to deal BECAUSE of that double murder next door…wonder how many new “own-eders” now regret their decision and will be dumping these crap shack condos….It still astonishes me that people would pay even HALF of what these things cost, just to live next to a freeway and atop a Superfund site! Sheer, mindboggling stupidity.

Who in their right mind would want to live on top of a superfund site? I don’t care if these condos go for $100K.

I think when they heard “Superfund Site” they thought it meant it was just Super.
