If this isn’t the sign of a market bottom, I don’t know what is. Come on… just $395,000 for a single family home? If this isn’t a steal, I don’t know what is! Let’s ignore the fact for a minute that it is $541 per square foot. Let’s also ignore those bold exterior colors that this part of San Mateo is so famous for. Instead, let’s look at some of the interior pics that are meant to dazzle and attract you:

Wow. Now Burbed isn’t always a big fan of staging, but this staging job is absolutely amazing. Just looking at this makes me feel like I am at home already. What? Don’t you envision your potential house with a hard side suit case on the bed? Or a bed where everything in the headboard will kill you in a 2.1 earthquake?

Excellent job listing agent! Excellent job!

Also be sure to check out the awesome wide-mouth pike fence, complete with bright red stonework.

Nope, too early to call bottom here. One leeetle teeeny theeeng you left out of this listing:

    On Redfin: 100 days
    Unsold in 90+ days

Without a doubt, the least cluttered interior photo was of the sink and shower door.

It is probably overpriced by up to 100k.

Certainly doesn’t seem to care, they could paint the garage, take pictures that don’t look horrible, or lower their price.

Which of these have they done, none. I guess they just don’t care. They’ve obviously bought that crap that RE doubles every 10 years so they must sell at close to double price.

Is it my imagination, or does the garage have a hardwood floor? This once belonged to someone who really pampered their car. But then, why no window in the garage door?

Also, love the sliding glass door between bedroom #2 and the next room. Nothing like having the entire rest of the house looking in at you while you sleep. I’d be tempted to hang up a big sign saying “Please Do Not Tease the Exhibit.”

Overpriced by 100k? If you mean the personal collection worth about 200k then yes. But I don’t know, maybe this can rent out for 2500 a month, then this price is like totally worth it.

  6. madhaus Says:

This house should rent for $2888 a month, look at that Mondrian style garage door continued into the driveway. This is a work of ART!

  7. ruta Says:

Does it really not have a stove? Is that common in these tiny Bay Area houses?

  8. bob Says:

This looks like a fre-fab house with the later addition of a fre-fab metal garage added later- right out front.I kind of wonder if this was originally a shed behind whatever house might be up front. Certainly looks that way.

As far as the colors… REDRUM! REDRUM!

All work and no play makes RealEstater a dull troll.
