Thanks to Burbed reader Mark for this find. Here’s what he had to say:

$1105 / sqft with a cesspool!!!

Love the description … ‘perfect place to experience the muscularity of the creek’s storm flow’ i.e. keep oars under your bed – you may need them.

Holy cow! I had to look on a map to remind myself where Healdsburgh was – oh right, it’s near Snoopy. And frankly, when I first saw this house, I thought it was a set piece from Lord of the Rings. But in any case, welcome to the Real Bay Area Healdsburgh. Congrats!

Black Friday is typically the start of an economic boom – will this house set it off?

That’s the first time I’ve ever seen someone invoke geology in a listing. The realtor forgot to add the quote around “just above” in “large deck ‘just above’ high water”, since the concept of “high water” is always historical and never absolute.

  2. Herve Says:

The Zestimate is $557,500. Even that seems too high.

Adding an “h'” to “Healdsburg” = adds $100k right there!

This is a fascinating development in realtorese. The adjectives are straight out of a crappy High Fantasty rip-off two levels removed from Lord of the Rings. Just listen to them!

OMG! If I buy this place the hobbits will be bringing me fresh baked goods and the eleves will climb down their rope ladders and trade their beautiful jewelry for ammunition I can pick up 8 minutes away!

    Just one problem.

How the HECK am I going to luck a Steinway Grand across a cable foot bridge?

Musclarity and sensuality. Sounds like a fantasy to me.

The house looks like a treant. I’d be worried about upsetting it.

That means no loud music, madhaus.

  6. madhaus Says:

Anon, what’s a treant? Is it like an ent? Does this shack even have electricity for amps?

  7. anon Says:

You know lord of the rings but you don’t know what a treant is?

I doubt this shack has electricity. Perhaps a certain hamster would be willing to spin a wheel for you.

I drive through Healdsburgh every few months. Its too far away from anything remotely close to any jobs that pay what this house is being offered for sale. The closest is Santa Rosa, and even that’s about 15-20 minutes away. The whole area is Wine country and rich retirees.

That MLS description was so sexy I need to change my trousers. If I owned that house I wouldn’t be able to leave, I’d just lie on the floor in a huddled heap of overstimulated bliss.
