This stunning Gothic Former Church is now one of the most extraordinary & largest homes in SF. A one-of-a-kind property featuring an enormous lvng area/sanctuary w/ soaring ceilngs, arched wndws framing The Park, original stned glass wndws, custom mahogany finishes, 2 wdbrng & 2 gas frpls, a new chef’s KIT & a spacious DR. The Master BR w/ marble Roman BA, dressing rm & 360 vws from the tower’s meditation rm & deck. Huge grand floor lvl that could be gallery/gym/offce/rcrdng studio. 4-6 Garage.

Thanks to Burbed reader Paul for this find. And people say San Francisco houses are unaffordable. At $585 per square foot, this is an incredible steal!

Personally, I’m wondering where the 3 bedrooms go. I chose to feature this photo because this is probably where I’d put the master bedroom. Just think of how romantic this would be at night! Every night you could renew your marriage by walking down the aisle, up to the altar.

I know IPOs aren’t doing so hot right now, but I just know that when the next hot startup IPOs, this will be instantly snapped up. Can’t you imagine this property filled with Aeron chairs, bean bags, Razor scooters, and neon beer signs? I can. And I can’t wait!

Come on Silicon Valley – let’s snap this up now!

  1. Trader Joe Says:

Overpriced or not, it’s still very, very nice.

  2. Real Estater Says:

It’s a glorified warehouse. You’d have to buy a whole furniture store just to make the place livable.

  3. nomadic Says:

Sure nice, but for what? 3br/2.5ba in 17 THOUSAND square feet? In cold SF?

At least if it had a bunch more rooms you could turn it into a cool B&B.

  4. madhaus Says:

And the lot size isn’t specified! Is this one of those 99 year lease dealies?

Hey wait! Remember that blimp from yesterday? Think it would fit in THIS PLACE? Because if it does, I am so there.

  5. mtv-renter Says:

Now, that place has some real cathedral ceilings.

Reminds me of the great dining hall in the Beowulf movie.

Makes me wonder where Grendel is hiding….

  7. sonarrat Says:

AWESOME. My piano students could practice in a real honest to god hall for every lesson. My god, I could charge $200 an hour.

LOL! Yeah it affordable, now I just need to figure out how to come up with the $10 million. Is this the only way to obtain a “steal”, to buy a mansion?

  9. anon Says:

No way. There is so much demand for homes like this that they typically sell over offering.

  10. A. Lewis Says:

Hmmm – I want to see the comps.

  11. nomadic Says:

Doing a comp on that would be as much fun as coming up with a comp for this:

I don’t know nomadic. They already slashed the price by 7 million. I think I will wait another year and save another 7 million. Of course I am just being short sighted. It went from 3 million to 38 million in 20 years. No reasonable will object to the fact that it will be worth well over 380 million in 2029.

    Undisclosed address?

Who the f— lives there, Dick Cheney?

WTF is a “tudor mound?” I mean, I know it’s a cone-shaped grassy mound, but what’s the point? Please keep it clean for burbed’s sake.

    WTF is a “tudor mound?”

Isn’t that an alias for the National Association of Realtors?

No wait. Wrong type of mound. ;-)
