LOL – no. I did see it re-listed last fall for maybe $150k less but even then I don’t think it sold. BTW, the assessed value of the place is just over $100k with only one refi for $645k.

Any time I walk into a house and see the granite counter top slapped on 1950’s whitewashed cabinets, I know the house is a giant steaming turd that they frantically polished.

Reminds me of an open house I went to in Spring 2008: 1960s cabinets painted white, new granite slab countertops and a mysterious hole in the master bathroom ceiling where maybe an exhaust fan had been ripped out. Asking price? $1.4M

Oh, and it had a funky old-people smell.

I bet those cabinets are made of cheap particleboard. Even those white drawer/cabinet handles are made of plastics.
When previous seller sold it on May 2007, I am sure he didn’t have to do anything on his 20/30 year old cabinets and countertop – “take it for $665K or get lost”.

Maybe the current owners conspired with friends or family members and bought the place for the inflated price of 665k in 2007 in hopes of creating a false impression of its value so that they could sell it at an even higher price in a couple years. But they probably did not forsee the bubble popping and are now scrambling.
