Great deal, Home was remodeled & then vandalized entire kitchen was stolen but has brand new bamboo floors new paint & is in otherwise good condition, just no kitchen. Likely not to qualify for FHA Also has separate rental unit in the back with addition 2 rooms, kitchen & bathroom for extra income. Home is Bright & Open floor plan info provided by seller & others has not been verified by agt

Thanks to Burbed reader Herve for this find.

Wow… let me just say that the affordable housing crisis in the Bay Area is now officially solved. At this price, most people could just charge it on their American Express Centurion Card!

Herve thought it was kind of ridiculous that the agent adds no value by having that giant disclaimer in the end. However, I think the Agent should be commended for providing so much honesty and transparency!

Let’s take a look at two key photos shall we?

Yep. That’s good condition.

But hey, at this price, why not?

    Reduced to $165K.

  2. sfbubblebuyer Says:

That thing sold for 470k in 2004! That means there is a MINIMUM of 300k of free equity if you buy right now!

  3. Joe Says:

Hmmmm, is a body guard required when the realtor shows the property? Definitely need to have mace and a taser handy.

  4. Pralay Says:

What’s in the bathtub? Deadbody? Did Drew Peterson live in this house?

    LOL

Based on the missing kitchen and the remnants of various things in the bathtub, my suspicion is that somebody picked up their meth lab and vacated. ;-)

.40 S&W territory, preferably with a pal who’s done urban operations in Iraq.

    Mace and a Taser, sheesh!

  7. Joe Says:

Ohhh, I meant the mace and the taser would be used on the craxy realtor showing the property.

You need some real firepower for the unsavory characters of the EPA.

East Palo Alto. Is it still the murder capital or have things gotten a little better?

Come on, that was in 1992, before the whole city gentrified. Still it looks like Tenafly, NJ is safer than East Palo Alto

Capital? Hahahahahaha. Check the per capita statistics for Detroit. Only DC might be worse.

  11. Herve Estater Says:

Come on nomadic, how about links? Are you an average tech guy too? :-)

    http://www.cityrating.com/citycrime.asp?city=Washington&state=DC (Yes, DC is worse)

  12. nomadic Says:

I’m below average!!! Or maybe I can argue vastly above, since I’m not a “tech” anything… Just a monkey with a computer. :-P

All that is being said is just not true. Not funny at all, no one is laughing. I live next door, and realtors that have come by have never had to were armour, etc, nor was it ever used as a meth lab. It was a nice young family who got the wrong mortgage company and got jacked up. Not uncommon to have vandalize occur for vacant properties.

  14. nomadic Says:

It was a nice young family who got the wrong mortgage company and got jacked up didn’t take the time to understand what they were signing up to pay over the next 30 years.

No, not funny. Very sad – to take on the largest debt of your life and not be serious about it, ask questions, and truly understand what is going on.
