It's like magazine subscription. Once you subscribe, you get renewal notice even before you receive the first issue. If you paid it, you get another renewal notice within next three months. After one year you look at closely, you already paid subscriber for next 20 years.

When they expanded that school, CUSD figured they had at least five years’ growth covered.
----

I guess that was CalTrans style estimate. They always expand freeways/roads "for traffic condition of next 10 years", only to come back within two years to expand for "next 10 years".

I guess it’s too late to institute mandatory birth control for CUSD residents.
----

What would be the limit? One or two child(ren)? Most likely most of parents don't have more than that anyway. So 100% of them would be covered.

I guess problem will be more severe as more baby-boomers cash out their homes and people with kids will move in, hoping to enroll their kids in CUSD.

Ack, I missed this. Stocklmeier enrollment is hitting 1100 this year. When they expanded that school, CUSD figured they had at least five years' growth covered. It's now at capacity... one year later.

Need I mention that Stocklmeier is an elementary school, and K-5 at that? The middle school for all Sunnyvale/CUSD has an enrollment a little over 1200.

SiO2, I have friends at CLIP too. The neighborhood school it shares space with (Meyerholz) is thrilled that CLIP moved there, because those kids raised the STAR numbers.

For Mandarin immersion, I found this one in Mountain View: http://www.french-american-kids.com (yeah, hard to guess they have Mandarin immersion!).

Any opinion about the other ones?

Driftwood Salvage is near there also (driftwoodsalvage.com), so at least materials for fixing the place up would be easy to get.

Bonus points if you have audio and video, because we love gossips on burbed!
-----

Audio will be useful only if parents are talking. I doubt it. Most likely every parent is silently cursing other parents in front of him/her and hoping that parents behind him/her won't get through.
