Mountain View Voice StaffPolice are looking for a group of teenagers who robbed two women at gunpoint Thursday night in the Shoreline movie theater parking lot. One woman was stunned with a stun gun.
“They ordered the women on the ground at gunpoint and demanded their purses,” said police spokesperson Liz Wylie. “The victims were complying but one was stunned with a stun gun.” She was slightly burned, but declined medical attention.
Police say that three teenage boys wearing all black approached the women, who were talking next to their car, Wylie said. One suspect had a black handgun and another had a stun gun.
The suspects fled south in a silver four-door Honda Civic on Shoreline Boulevard, taking two purses with credit cards, driver’s licenses, a little bit of cash and an iPod Nano. All three suspects are described as Hispanic, between the ages of 16 and 18, and wearing all black. The one who carried the gun is described as short and stocky. The other two are described as being of medium height and medium build.
The female victims were a 24-year-old from Mountain View and a 30-year-old from Los Gatos.
Thanks to Burbed reader Herve for this find.
While this may look like bad news to most, it’s actually a blessing in disguise. Let’s face it – criminals know where the money is. They also know who the soft targets are.
Who has money and is a soft target? Rich geeks!
At the end of the day, you are only successful in life if everyone recognizes that you are successful. That’s why it is important to have the right address, the right zip code, the right car, and the right domain name for your email address.
So while Burbed certainly hopes these two women are ok, let’s face it – now everyone knows where the money is at. It’s Mountain View.
Congrats!

This is why you’re seeing more security guards around, the local complex in Morgan Hill has one in the Safeway and in front there, and another one in ftont of the theatre, probably a 3rd up at the other end by the Panda Express.
Next step is guarding food shipments into stores like Safeway, shoplifting is already way up.

From one of the comments:
I used to go to that theatre all of the time but now I refuse to because the parking lot is too dark and there are stupid wannabe gang bangers hanging out every where. What the hell happened to the once quiet and peaceful Mountain View??
Really?

Those kids once had jobs.
Or their parents once had jobs and the kids are the breadwinners now.

Looks like all the money you have to pay to live in Mountain View doesn’t keep you totally safe as expected. Too bad. Welcome to the real world.
