Happy Thanksgiving. [Serious Post]
Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
Today’s post is a serious one.
Let’s face it, not everyone is an AAPL or GOOG shareholder. Not everyone is working at a company that is getting acquired or IPOing. Not everyone is doing well in Mafia Wars or Farmville. Not everyone has seen 10% appreciation in their home equity this year.
These have been tough times for a lot of people.
So, while normally this space would be used to ask for donations to Burbed, please consider donating to a real charity like the United Way, Second Harvest, or your local food bank.
I know this site can be very filling, but some people may need more than a few bits and bytes.
Thanks.

I remember the Nob Hill Foods in Mountain View having something like a coupon you’d buy, for a homeless/poor family to have Thanksgiving dinner, I bought two.
Then of course my own world as I knew it ended, and I fell below the level to even receive one of those dinners.
Now I have a secure doomstead, amd pretty well prepared for the end times and and becoming progressively more so. And my diet is great!
I’d like to say that that the hardest time for the poor is the January-February-March time period, it’s cold and everyone figures you’ll live fine on the $2 they gave you around Christmas. These are the hard, hungry months. We can expect to see more desperation, hunger, and crime. This is the time to help the poor. Give them a little or a lot as you are able to and inclined to. If you feel like giving big, arm ‘em up and aim ‘em at a banker’s house.

Thank you for the nice reminder, burbed. This year I am particularly thankful for what I have.
