Hey everyone! It’s a listing that doesn’t have a description. You know what means! It means the agent needs your help in writing one!
To help expedite the process, here are all the photos:
Put on those marketing hats of yours, and do your best to sell this house!
Some ground rules: You can’t say “Close to 85/101″. That’s a given.
Alrighty. Ready? Set? Go!

The mirrors create no illusion — this house is REALLY a POS!!! Granite and laminate flooring. That’s all you need to know.

55 years young house suffers from early dementia. Comes complete with playpen to keep it from wandering off when you turn your back for “just a second.”

weird house with strange interior decor. This thing looks more like a playhouse. Notice the plastic lawn chair inside the room full of mirrors? What’s up with all the mirrors anyway? Was the former owner a ballet dancer?

You know, in spite of the fact it took nearly two years to sell, it was a good investment for someone. They bought it eight years ago for $150k. Put in some cheap flooring and cliche cabinets, and voila – a 3x ROI.
Hmm, maybe not. The PropertyShark data is all screwed up and show the current owner connected to the property as far back as 1993.

All kidding aside, this thing is indescribably ugly. It looks like a cross between a garage and a prison. They should at least paint it Easter egg pink or something.

> Notice the plastic lawn chair inside the room full of mirrors?
The plastic chair brings the outside to the inside. Isn’t that what everybody is looking for in a house?
Happy Friday everyone!

From cache. This was the description of this property in March 2008.
Yes, baby, Pride of Ownership!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sellers is very motivated. Why do you think he keeps listing it for last one and half years? Isn’t that a sign of motivation? Of course it is.
And don’t forget the listed price in March 2008: $710K. $210K instant equity is right here. Well, it just gone pending. You lost another chance to enjoy the Price of Ownership!!!!!!!!!

Pralay, he was motivated but he wasn’t going to “just give it away!”
December 11th, 2009 at 12:46 pm
200k less and no pride of ownership? Bummer for this seller.

I’m not a fan of this property, but I don’t think any of the issues is very hard to rectify. If you want to live in Mountain View, and you don’t have much money, this is a fine alternative to living in the East Bay.

East Bay is not part of Bay Area anyway. I am not sure if anyone would like to move to Bay Area from a non Bay Area location.
December 11th, 2009 at 2:00 pm
That’s why it’s a great alternative.

Why? That would be like watching the CEO of Chrysler talk and believe that his company is going like gangbusters.
December 11th, 2009 at 2:11 pm
East Bay people come to RBA! That would be pretty bad! We should never let the “quality of neighborhood and the quality of schools” go down by allowing “
greataffordable alternative” to East Bay people.December 11th, 2009 at 2:14 pm

You have a magic wand to disapparate the nearby section 8 housing, drug dealers and car thieves?

If anybody wants to “watch” true Lawrence Yun, he/she should go to Lawrence Yun Watch.
Don’t forget to watch this video.

DreamT,
Probably you are talking about East Bay. Anything without “east” on its name does not have such problem. There is no such thing as East Mountain View. It’s a great alternative to East Bay.
December 11th, 2009 at 2:37 pm
East Mountain View does sound more apt than Whisman Triangle.
December 11th, 2009 at 2:41 pm
DreamT, is “disapparate” a combination of disappear and evaporate?
December 11th, 2009 at 2:58 pm
> You have a magic wand to disapparate the nearby section 8 housing, drug dealers and car thieves?
He’s delusional so, to him, it’s not really there.

Shady liquor stores within walking distance, and the King Of Clubs. If you want to know where the party is, it’s at the King Of Clubs (obscure Police Academy reference no one will get).

nomadic – I believe so, ask Rowling:) (in any case it seems to be an accepted term in British media http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/disapparate)
December 11th, 2009 at 5:01 pm
Link works much better without the “)” at the end.
Thanks for the clue-in. Obviously I’m not a Harry Potter fan.

Just like “misunderestimate“?

Herve, if you’re going to pull out the “Bushisms” then we have to mention this one in honor of bob:
“There’s an old saying in Tennessee — I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can’t get fooled again.”
Double-state-score!
