Let’s face it, all of us here in Silicon Valley are here for one reason: to get the trophies. Whether it be a TechCrunch Crunchies or an IPO with a pop, Silicon Valley-ers are an ambitious type.
Thus, this is the perfect house. With polished materials, this is definitely a trophy house.
Just think about how you will be able to come home at night, after a hard day of Ruby on Rails or M&A’ing, and be able to relax in your spa. The whole time thinking: “Wow, I have it made.”
On the contrary, if you don’t have this home, do you have it made? What does it say about you? Pretty scary to think about isn’t it.
It’s probably best you just buy it now to be on the safe side. Better have a trophy, than no trophies at all!

“THE INFUSION OF A MASTERFUL EXPANSION ”
This site is supposed to be PG-13, right?

This zip is selling for 650/sqft and listing for 750/sqft per Redfin, which means this thing needs about a 30% haircut. Good luck sellers

Are periods and commas so much more expensive than a thesaurus that this guy only has the latter?
Perhaps a keyboard without a broken caps-lock key would help too.
Isn’t there some holiday charity that helps agents with these sorts of things?

Proper usage of periods and commas is a sign of having a little bit of intelligence coupled with the ability to learn. Two traits that realtors do not have.

WTH are Ruby, Rails, etc? New drugs?

simply some real estate colloquialisms. You have to be an insider like burbed to know them.

I saw this house before and after the renovation. It looks really nice now – it’s unusual to see a blend of classical and contemporary the way it’s been done here. It’s definitely “above average” in finish quality, so I don’t think the pricing is out of line with other listings of similar size/quality in the neighborhood (it sits right on the border with Los Altos Hills). I will be very interested to see what this goes for, since I’m doing something similar to my place just up the road.

Yeah it will be interesting to see what it goes for because it is listed for 2x what it should be.
And the only reason you think its pricing is appropriate is because you think your own house is worth way more than it really is, Ben.
