Thanks to Burbed reader Herve for this find.
Unfortunately, I sat on this and now it is pending. My apologies for those who missed out on this opportunity. That said, this house just goes to show how Bay Area real estate is picking up. Look at how fast this house sold! If this isn’t a sure sign that real estate is picking up, I don’t know what is.
This Spring Bounce is going to be enormous. Prices are going to bounce so high that they’re going to reach the moon! You just wait!
That said, reading this listing creeps me out. Doesn’t it feel like the owner is a ghostly presence over this house?

Realty must be the only occupation where you can earn 6 figures by hitting the caps lock key and saying “f*ck it”.

Definitely not RBA. Sold in ’98 for $5M and in ten years it has not doubled, how pathetic.

Quick sale? Amazing what a 36% price cut can do.
It was originally listed for sale last March.

Unemployment rate went down and yet employers cut 20,000 more jobs? The gubment is using funny math, I tell ya.

real estater math, alex.
real estater math.

That’s because the official unemployment rate doesn’t count the under-employed and those who have given up looking for work.
Either that, or they’re making Soylent Green out of the unemployed now.

nomadic, exactly. The university taught us that much when I was studying economics. Of course, our politicians are now more optimistic that the numbers suggest a recovery.
Meanwhile, Joe Blow and his family are hitting the homeless shelters and food lines.

Explained in Calculated Rick blog
Also, it could be due to revisions in past numbers, as mentioned in CNN article:

LMAO!!
Good one nomadic.
Maybe not such a bad idea if we put a ribbon around it and sell it as a health care cost reduction.
