Nomadic – something like that. Get a liar loan under a false ID, make the payments as long as it’s useful to you, when you’re either found out or the Depression has made even drugs and illegal gun parts unprofitable, walk away.

I’d put some inch thick Lexan in those windows and armor it up, can’t defend against an RPG from the street but you’ll be OK against the small stuff.

SILICON VALLEY STOCKS HIT ALL-TIME HIGH 10 YEARS AGO TODAY

SAN JOSE — Silicon Valley tech workers are reflecting on the dot-com bubble this morning.

If it’s possible to measure enthusiasm, it was exactly 10 years ago that Silicon Valley hit its apex.

It was a Friday, and the NASDAQ closed at 5,048.62, all all-time high.

The Valley was flush with cash, the freeways were choked with young millionaires, and there was a sense that the Internet would change everything.

By March 10, 2001, the value of the NASDAQ had been chopped in half, and more than 100,000 tech workers had lost their jobs.

Their fate was impossible to see at the top of the bubble, where we stood just 10 years ago today.

Today NASDAQ closed at 2,358.95 …

What a steal!
In all seriousness I remember reading in the SF Chronicle about some cute young hipster couple who bought a house in the middle of the oakland ghetto because in their words ” At the rate homes are appreciating, in 10 years time homes will be 2 million dollars anywhere in the Bay Area…” so we had to buy. I remember they had gotten some sort of money from Mom and Dad too.

I’m going to take a wild guess that they paid $450-$500k for the thing and now its totally worthless just like this POS.

Sometimes forced gentrification just doesn’t work.
