Something is wrong here. Burbed won for San Francisco and wasn’t even nominated in San Jose? Meanwhile, look at the site that won for Silicon Valley. The front page covers two months’ worth of content, and that isn’t because it has 100 entries. The runner-up won’t let us call her (I think it’s a her but I’m not sure) out on that, by cleverly not dating any of the posts.
Both sites appear to be run by real estate agents.
The “Round 1″ vs “Round 2″ of the blog contests is misleading. Round 1 was for different cities than Round 2. I wonder if we’re going to get to fight it out with them. Maybe we could go head to head against Phoenix; their stuff is not only overpriced, it’s also massively oversupplied.
Congrats to burbed, one of the few sites that has new content every day and has done so for four and a half years.
Congrats. A little skepticism and a lot of elbow grease goes a long way. I trust you will compete well at the national level. The blog that won San Jose is well intentioned, but completely lacking in providing a critical view of the market.

Does this mean we can say burbed is the Palo Alto of blogs?

This is the “Real Blog Area”.

Now, if there were fewer teal deers around here and more redheads…

#5: Redhead included with most teal deer. Can’t speak to hair color of A Lewis.
Do we HAVE to discuss Palo Alto again?

I am not surprised from the result. They would say that he did not take the aggregated result. They took random sampling from the votes.

#7, I was wondering the same thing – burbed covers Silicon Valley more than SF, but whoever nominated it wasn’t paying attention.

#6 – as a matter of fact, I have dark red hair. Sandwiched between me and an asian, Alex might be pretty happy?!
Course, I don’t have as much of this hair as when I was 20…
