It’s rarely a good sign when the first picture in the listing isn’t of the house itself, but “a view you will never grow tired of.” That means the chain-link fence is just as stunning at high noon.![]()
The house? Well, having just returned from Vallejo, we’ve seen worse. Like the screaming tomato-red “accent wall” in the… is that the living room? WHAT did they do to that fireplace?
But let’s stick to the outside for now (we know the inside has the features today’s cooks are looking for, or is it just the cabinets only that are so equipped? At least the agent admits that the stainless treatment didn’t extend to the refrigerator.
Here’s the actual view of the house so you can see how well you’re going to get to know the neighbors. They will be parking in front of your house because there isn’t room for guests, Also note the great condition of your new street.
Meanwhile I hope you like wildlife.
Because it looks like this house backs onto the mother of all mosquito breeding programs. Come see for yourself

And the streets are named after towns in Belgium? What do those ponds do, besides the breeding facility? Sewage?Or can you get your drinking water out of the lake?

You couldn’t pay me to live on the bay at the south end. The place reeks most of the year.
March 24th, 2011 at 8:52 am
Jeeze, I wasn’t paying attention. That’s on one of those tiny man-made lakes down there. It probably won’t smell as bad as the Bay’s anus and it’s less likely to flood you during tsunamis! BUY BUY BUY!

Come now, madhaus. I’m sure they put our vector control money to work by loading those ponds up with pesticides to kill off the mosquitoes. #1, I don’t think you’ll want to drink insecticidal soup.

The perc ponds, a blast from my past.
I have always thought of that hood as a cut below. It’s shocking to see the price for this home is a cut above. Will this really go for 700K+?

This homebeggar paid 419.5k in 01 and now wants 725k for doing nothing but eating and sleeping in this house.
I’m sure that household after household making $241,000 a year will be simply clamoring over each other in order to line this shitbag’s pockets.
Homebeggars. Because title to real estate entitles one to be paid to live in a house.

Zillow says this place is worth all of $532K, but should rent for two grand a month. That means the Zrent ratio using the wishing price is around 30.
March 24th, 2011 at 1:16 pm
30^-1 = 3.3% => Rent is cheap!
What’s worse is that if the Zestimate of $532k is anywhere close, then a buyer is going to have a difficult time recovering that $200k… Sure any loss might not be realized in the near future, but this is not a good place to start. Oh, if the rent was $25k per year, then the $200k would equal eight years of rent.
I mean seriously: can you imagine being a renter for another eight years?

#8 : 8 more years of renting? Only in my dreams! The wife cracked the whip already, so I caught me a falling knife.
