A friend of mine commutes from downtown Santa Clara to the Vishay complex off of 101. He’s actually started riding the bus, since it takes him 45 minutes to drive there and he burns up a ton of gas that way. At least that’s what he tells me. Last year I went to Santa Cruz from here and left during rush-hour time, after an HOUR and only getting to the southern end of San Jose I turned around and took the 129 route through Watsonville and got there in a reasonable amount of time.
All that traffic means the economy and RE are on the way up Up UP!

You could do a brisk walk from downtown Santa Clara to Vishay in 45 minutes.. I refuse to believe that figure. You just take Lafayette to Montague, done in 10-15 minutes tops.

I dunno, this is what he tells me. Could be he’s exaggerating because he’s embarrassed to take the bus, but he says the traffic is BAD.
And he’s not a 45 minutes’ brisk walk kind of guy. Every time I see him I wonder if it will be the last time.
