A WINNER, but someone put their HANDS DOWN
Here’s another great find from Burbed reader Overheard in San Carlos, in… would you believe San Carlos? Too bad somebody bought it out from under you.

STATUS: SoldHands Down Winner! Competition melts by comparison to this charming 2 Bedroom , 1 Bath, Ranch Style Home located in the popular Garden Terraces neighborhood. Enjoy a summer BBQ out on the large outdoor deck overlooking your expansive back yard. With excellent San Carlos schools and a short distance to downtown , this is a winning home, hands down!
I’m still trying to figure out if this is the Hands Down Winner, then just exactly in what? Remember, the competition melts by comparison. This place is a contender in the Highest-Contrast Kitchen Contest (Cabinet Division), a strong possibility in the Greater Garden Terraces Most Congenial Replacement for a Front Lawn Pave-Off, and in the running for Oh My God THAT Place Had Overbidding Festival.
We can agree that the buyer is a winner. Of something. Hands down!

Maybe the agent meant “thumbs down” and exaggerated.
Speaking of thumbs, they’re working again.

I bet those kitchen counters are painted. Put away the sharp knives lest you chip it.

R100? Silly Redfin–San Carlos zoning doesn’t work that way! It’s R1 SFR just like most of the rest of the city. There is no R100, especially not there.

Lucky red kitchen! Red’s a lucky color! Just gotta take that bicycle thing down and put up a big picture of nakked ladies (the fire god is a big ol’ prude so you put feelthy pictures in the kitchen to ward him off – I am not shitting you, look it up) and cook up all kinds of lucky char siu, lo mein, etc in there.
Put more 8′s in the price it’ll sell!

If 8s are so important, why haven’t all the Chinese-Americans (or Chinese Chinese with their suitcases full of cash) bought up zip code 88888 yet? Nobody is using it.
The US Government could solve every single budgetary problem for the next 20 years if they put the damned zip up for auction. There is no region using the 888 prefix, as it stops after 884.
The town would have to be in southeast New Mexico, but think of how successful you’d be living in Prosperity, NM 88888.
