Opportunity is Here! Lowest price single family home in Millbrae.
50 MATEO Ave
Millbrae, CA 94030$299,000
Didn’t get what you wanted for Christmas? Well here’s your chance! Look at this deal! Most of us could charge this on our Centurion cards, right?
Let’s take a look at some of the fine interior pics:

Wow, talk about #winning! Unfortunately, the Iraq War is now over – so references to Fallujah and etc are now over. What would be a good modern day comparison for this house?
In any case, at $650 per square foot, this house demonstrates the awesome power of the Bay Area. Maybe you could buy this and create your new social, gamification, hyper local, daily deal, analytics, heroin shooting gallery! Just think of the potential! It’d be so addictive and viral! You could call it BlackTarr.com. (Please remember me for Friends and Family Shares. Thanks!)

This house has been Burbed before ! Some lucky ducky purchased it for $268K last year and spent top dollar sprucing it up. Now we can watch the fun as this palace chases the market down to $238K.
I picked 238 because it’s radioactive.

> I picked 238 because it’s radioactive.
I’d have picked 210, for Polonium 210. Half-life of 138 days, which is about the time it will take for this house to decay.

I don’t think they spruced it up at all. Looks like they maybe peeled up some carpeting and knocked down some light fixtures, then realized they didn’t want to live through a rehab/remodel and fled.

#4 can’t you tell how much effort they spent getting this place ready for sale? This is a classic RBA flip I tell you!

I guess RE got tired of being a landlord and is selling after the tenants trashed the place.

Maybe this house is the last chance we have to make Fallujah comparisons? “The troops came home and they brought this house with them as a trophy.”
Just hope none of these came back with the house!

“Some lucky ducky purchased it for $268K last year”
Indeed:
Sep 26, 2011 Listed (Active) $368,000
Sep 30, 2010 Sold (Public Records) $268,000
bought for $268k, then exactly one year later relisted at a sweet $100k increase (37% increase) without any remodeling or apparently even sweeping.
it seems their game plan is:
1) buy in RBA
2) wait one year
3) list for instant $100k profit!
only the most brilliant genius could have conceived of such a sophisticated strategy. the simplicity and elegance is staggering. i can hardly breath. sorry, i was blocked up by that bean burrito i had for lunch.

“Simply submit the approved plan with some permit fee & begin. Hurry!”
You know what I’ve suggested:
“The only way I buy a new construction is if the builder is willing and able to finance and build the home to the agreed upon specifications. I decide if it’s a quality product at the end, and if for any reason, or no reason, I decide not to buy at the predetermined price, then the builder should be able to sell it. I don’t seek to squabble over small stuff, but if there’s something significant I don’t like, I’d rather not be stuck with it. This also pushes the builder to build a quality, valuable product, since he doesn’t want to get stuck with poor quality, worthless construction.”
anon finished that thread up, “Lol – these shitbags think this plot of land is worth a million bucks. That’s funny.”

This house looks like it belongs in a favela.
My wife was frustrated that we haven’t yet found our dream home to buy in the RBA but then I showed her pictures of this house and she immediately became thankful that we don’t live in such a crapbox. Thanks burbed!
