Check this redwood city gold mine out:
- Sold for $760k in 2006
- Now listed at $467,850
- You save nearly 40%!
And don’t worry about the flood zone stuff– it’s been years since there was high water around there.
Um… what flood zone stuff? Is that why they pulled a pending listing? And it looks like the price was cut some more, to $450,000, after Mole Man sent it in. Somebody sure wanted a new house for the New Year, going into contract on December 30th.
Plus a six car garage? Let’s say that again, an 840 square foot house with a SIX CAR GARAGE. That means the garage is bigger than the house, as a two-car garage is 400 sf.
When I first saw this photo, I thought I was looking at a barn, and wondered where the riding tack was.
As you admire the rest of the photos (not available on most other sites!), remember, they really knew how to build them in 1946. Look at those hardwood floors, and those hardwood floors!
And yet another Home Depot Bathroom Sink Special right up against the bathtub. You can’t great design like this just anywhere.
Hurry, this won’t last. That’s why it’s being sold as-is.
Any idea what the “special deed restrictions” might be for all-cash transactions? At least they’re saying this place is Special.

“6-car garage in the backyard perfect for car collectors.”
And just how does one get the cars to that garage?

Through the portal to hell that runs under the house from the street?

If they’re doing it right ™ the front garage simply has a back door also, and driveway continuing back to the big garage.
Except for the price, and that it’s in Redwood City, and that there’s no acreage for a garden, I like it. I love the idea of having a shop that’s bigger than my house.

I’d wager that the “6-car garage” was used for growing pot.

One less spot, but much more convenient than the Willow Glen showpiece of the large garage movement. Perhaps a new rule is needed? Houses appreciate at 7.2% a year in the Bay Area, but garage sizes in new construction now grow at 3.5%?

Holy shit, I want it! This is PERFECT. Garage SF > House SF. I am not even kidding.
I could get a mill, lathe, aluminum smelter, welding station, table saw, planer/jointer, acid bath and a climbing wall in there (I’d dig out part of it 20ft deep to start the climbing wall undeer ground).
Sadly, buying the house would mean that I have no money left for any of those things. You just can’t win!

Knowing you’d appreciate the place, bmwman, I was wondering when you’d show up. I bet even bob would consider this place.

I have an agreement with my fiancee. I get the garage & she gets the house!

Also, I love the realtard description of the “6-car garage, perfect for a car collector.” Bullshit. Is it easier to find people with 6 cars than people with real hobbies these days? Sheesh.
