Charming 2 bedroom 1 bath home located in Hyde Park. Detached 2 car garage, wood burning fire place, hardwood floors, dining room and interior laundry. Located near parks, schools, shopping and downtown amenities. 101, 880 and light rail nearby. Large lot with room to expand. Do not disturb tenants.

120319-n4th-drivewayThis lawn sure doesn’t suggest it’s in the middle of a city of just under a million people, does it?  Why, this could be the suburbs anywhere, provided they were building suburbs in 1939.

Love the handy waste receptacles!

But why didn’t the agent mention the magnet middle school across the street, guaranteeing lots of traffic coming in from all over San Jose?  Plus, if you want to enroll your child in any program in SJ Unified School district, just hop across idyllic 4th Street, as this school doubles as a year-round enrollment center!  You’ll be first in line, and you can always sneak back home to refill your thermos!

I like photo #9. Somebody needs bed-making lessons.

    Also: Low-maintenance yard!

This house is clearly having a crazy contest with this fine thing a block or two away:

    Same Realtor, coincidentally enough.

I love it when listings say “do not disturb tenants”. It brings to mind charming mental images of budding real estate investors being horribly mauled and left for dead after inadvertently making eye contact with the feral monsters that infest these places.

  3. The Gilroy Alex Says:

“Do Not Feed Or Annoy The Tenants” LOL!

The place has to be spic and span to discourage thieves, the Spartan look says: “We’re getting by on 1 Social Security check, we have nothing worth taking”. In large parts of the US this is a good policy as far as groundskeeping goes.

And now a new feature, some Gilroy News!

Apparently yesterday, some person or persons, robbed a Wells Fargo bank in the San Jose area, and were naturally chased by the cops, They threw bags of money out on 101 near Hellyer, causing a big slowdown as cops went around gathering up all the donuts, er, money. The chase culminated on 101 south by 10th street in Gilroy, where there were about 6 million cops and a pork-chopper in the air.

Gilroy: All the cool robbers stop here.

Astro, I like the house you found. If you look at the arched front window and the two little circles above, it looks like a cartoon face screaming in pain.

  6. AstroWallaby Says:

#5: *snicker* I hadn’t noticed that but now that you’ve pointed it out I can’t un-see it… although it’s not necessarily a scream. It sort of reminds me of the stereotypical cartoon fat kid “indignant-face”.

“Oh, come on you guys, stop making fun. I’m gonna tell! MOM!”

  7. sfbubblebuyer Says:

I like how both houses on either side have paved pretty much their entire lot. You should by this place then charge them for oxygen generation services and storm water run-off drainage.

#1 there’s no time to learn how to make beds when you’re out earning 7 diplomas.
