An oldie but a goodie in Mountain View
Today is the last entry of a string of hella fine housing from Burbed reader Petsmart Groomer. We hope you have enjoyed Petsmart Groomer week. Next week we’ll return to a mix of properties from all over the Bay Area submitted by some of our other readers (if we still have any).
Many thanks again to Petsmart Groomer for all the finds, including this, um, place that’s been on Burbed twice already! But you’d have to go all the back to 2008 to remember this one. That was so long ago we were still using the MLS website for our listings!
And then we revisited the same house again three months later!
Now it’s back, and it’s better than EVEH! You can find out how much better after the break!

This is the second remodeled home this week claiming to be new construction! Has MLS changed the rules for a home’s “year built” when we were arguing over what’s still in the Real Bay Area?
It’s all good, because this home built in either 1927 or 2012, depending on which part you’re in, has a Mater suite! That’s so much classier than the typical in-law bedroom.
Also, it isn’t enough to mention any schools a house qualifies for. Now the API score has to be included as well. Wonder why Crittenden Middle School, with a score of 788, wasn’t cited? You’re welcome!
See how many of the pictures of this house you can find more than once in the listing. It’s like Where’s Waldoexcept without any DHOs. Also without any sign that anyone has lived here or would want to. Clearly, any potential buyer for this property is not impressed by staging.
And that’s a good filter, because whoever ends up living here should be the type of person who is utterly oblivious to his or her surroundings. Not only is this house on a busy, divided street, but it’s next to a huge vacant lot (which means they could build a nuclear reactor next door!) and there’s a midsized shopping center directly across the street. Convenient!
Now here’s a listing history you don’t see every day. Not only did this house go chasing the market down after being featured on Burbed twice, before it was purchased for this slow flip, it had some really amusing, um, price points.
How many dollars a square foot would that 7/27/10 asking price work out to?

sfbb, it only works if you’re logged in, which means you need a login to the site. Oh, wait you have one. Um… use it next time?
I added your image for you.

Yah, I thought I was, but I wasn’t, and then I had a hard time trying to find the comment to edit due to a lack of diet coke at the office. TGIF!
But I gotta say, I’m interested in what the Mater-suite looks like! Rusty parts everywhere!

And I thought it was hideous before. Can’t wait until it leaks all over the new owners…
