120924-bayshore-satelliteHere’s why ms sent in this tip-top tenement!

This is a townhouse in a project where the nearest scenic view is the 3rd Avenue sign on 101.  The HOA is decent at $250, but for $700K+ you should not be paying HOA at all.

It is also priced far more than comps. Check out:

120924-bayshore-stairsRetirees, note the San Francisco-type stairs to go up and down and up again to get to the bedrooms. Your grandkids would have no common place to play.

711K?  Is the bubble real?  Is the bubble fake?  Only the shadow knows, the shadow man under someone else’s bed.

It’s not lucky $711,000 anymore!  Price reduced to $690,000.  You’ll get even luckier with a price like that.  You know what else is lucky?  Those HOA dues.  Redfin mentioned them twice.

MS’s comment about the 3rd  Avenue sign was completely on the level.  This is the lovely view you get every time you leave the plex.  Location, location, location!

For $700K in San Mateo you can do better. MUCH better.

    What a crapshack.

I like this home design, but I don’t understand why they sell for such a premium. in 2007 they were building some in Sunnyvale and then they talked up the ‘comparables’ and none of the comparables came with a view of a major street, 50′ from CalTrain (but 1+ miles from the stations), and a freeway overhead. x-x

They also come with restrictions on gardening and parking – in other words, they never have any parking, so forget having your friends over – but they’re hardly ever near transportation.

I was looking at a tiny sh*thole in downtown mountain view.

    Small 3br 2.5ba condo

Literally across from the railroad. Buy now or be priced out forever!

That one is real pretty, but yeah, right off the main strip there, dozens of restaurants within a couple blocks, CalTrain station not three blocks away, lots of busses.

That’s the sorta spot you want a condo like that. Then your lack of garden/entertaining space can be made up for by having parks and restaurants and cafes.
