121007-mcfarlane-pondHere’s what Tom had to say about this yallar thang.

The Lovely Pond…

Is on the neighbors property. There’s a mudhole on this one. Carpets smell like something wild peed on them, the ceilings are 6’6″ and if there is any part of this house that was ever up to code it’s the rain gutters. It’s actually a nice 2 acres and change, but the house is a teardown.

Plenty more to check out in the pictures.  Lots and lots of pictures.  And not a single one of them inside.

… or to anyone working in the bay area.

For only a million more, one can get something of interest in Portola Valley.

New 1/2 HP submersible pump. Do not miss this.

Value is in the pump! Wow, that has to be worth $40 or $50! Woohoo.

  3. SEA Says:

$40 or $50? What planet are you on? The service call is more than that.

  4. SEA Says:

“New 1/2 HP submersible pump.” = running water.

No big deal if it’s a new sump pump.

  5. nomadic Says:

I figured it was for the lovely “pond.”

  6. nomadic Says:

Service call? For a little pump? That’s for the pansies in Palo Alto.

  7. dollarbin Says:

Added bunus: I bet if you bought this place you could refer to it as your “holler”

  8. mabeldu Says:

good god… why highlight the pond? are you sure that’s not the “septic tank”? if i’m drinking well water, i sure don’t want that thing nearby.

seth mcfarlane would not be happy about this tribute.

#7 – correcto. the corn mash still is behind the big oak.

  9. epoxy coatings Says:

well the pound is very good as old is gold. 🙂

Putting an epoxy coating on that mudhole/pond would be a good improvement, but finding gold under it would be even better. Might need to move a few pounds of the acreage. Does this place have mineral rights? Wait, you’re visiting from Australia. How are you going to put an epoxy coating on the pond all the way over there? Going to be even harder with your old is gold URL lost somewhere over the Pacific. –ed.
