It’s Thanksgiving, and Here’s Your Turkey!

Happy Thanksgiving!  Sorry today’s house is late, as we were up all night prepping for a Burbed Feast.  Did you know how difficult it is to cut up the Real Bay Area into Census districts of half inch cubes without crossing any zip codes?

Now on to our entree. Today’s house was sent in by one of its former owners, a Burbed reader who wishes to remain anonymous.  Can’t imagine why!

121122-ardis-kitchenHere’s what our unnamed fan has to say about today’s main course:

The house that keeps on giving.. Yes I was one of the people who lost money on this West Valley Brigadoon. The person who bought it from me, never did one thing he said, just held it and turned it for my profit… This wreck has been untouched through 4 sales…

Will the next buyer be able to rehab this behemoth???

This house was sent in just a week and a half ago, but the usually suspect real estate sites have it marked as sold already.  Either our correspondent just noticed his/her old place changed hands after almost two years on the market, or there’s a more recent listing we’re not finding.

Hey, Redfin, pass the white meat!  Click on through if you’re joining us from the front page.  The table is groaning.

121122-ardis-bathtubWonder why Movoto didn’t know the house was listed again and sold again within the last year?  Is it the tryptophane in that turkey in their logo that put them to sleep?

Be sure to check out both sets of photos, as there doesn’t seem to be any improvement done in the past year.  We prefer this more recent view of the bathtub, as the photographer artfully gives us a hint of the open toilet in the lower right corner.

Also, have a look at these views of the garage from the older listing (left) and the more recent one (right).  On the left is something for our founder; maybe not a pink house, but at least a pink garage door.  On the right, WTF?  Were they burning realtards in effigy when the house wouldn’t sell immediately?

We popped over to Zillow to see if there was any extra listing history that Redfin didn’t already have and… Hope you have more room, because here’s yet another serving! Yes, Zillow has another different listing for the same house.

Sorry it’s late, but it’s here. And if you want to remember the glory days when Burbed used to get 200 comments per house without breaking a sweat, I bring you… the 2008 Burbed Thanksgiving Dinner.
