Granite and stainless and panes, oh my! And dollarbin has another reason to send in this listing. Let’s listen in.
I was checking out the listing for this Watsonville flat-top. Looking at the listing I noticed that it sold back in April for roughly half the price. Fortunately, the old listing also has interior photos.
Shame they had to paint over all of that original artwork.
Wait, old listing?

County: Santa CruzSubject located on corner lot at end of road. Large backyard patio area. Centrally located near all amenities. Interior of home is vandalized and will require much TLC. Good opportunity for a contractor/investor fixer.
Let’s enjoy that original artwork, then.

And best of all, these pictures are actual size. So for once you don’t have to go to the listing to embiggen them.
But the photo of the living room above is the only picture that we can tell for sure was taken in the same house. See if you can identify some of the others!
And note the good wishes the artist left for the future homeowners. It’s in red so you can’t miss it. SUCCESS.

As I read the first listing I thought to myself, “why does the realtor feel the need to assure us this is in a nice STABLE neighborhood? Are there earthquakes one street over? Gang wars?”
I guess they figure if you see all the “artistic frolicsomeness” that’s been happening in the ‘hood, you might wonder…

Thank you Burbed for my latest “Where the f-ck is ______?” lesson. Now I know where Watsonville is. Now, for the record, this is EXACTLY the kind of ‘flip’ that shouldn’t be mocked. They managed to ADD a bedroom and bathroom while shrinking the house by 90 feet! Most people recommend making a house bigger when adding bedrooms and bathrooms. These flippers should be applauded for thinking ‘inside the box’ and reducing the size while increasing the number of occupants you can cram in! It’s a green revolution!

What I want to know is what was in the garage that made them decide to convert an enclosed attached structure into a covered car port?

i think the agent needs a lesson on truth in advertising. me thinks this is not an eichler. eicheroid perhaps, but not the real thing.
another cheapo flip; the crappy metal support bars holding the edge of granite in the kitchen… tsk tsk…
this almost rated a yippee, but not quite. pic #4 has a raised toilet lid peeking up, but not fully exposed. no bunus points for that.

I will say that those grafitti pics are worthy of Redfin’s new Pinterest ripoff: Collections. Anyone else get the email blast about this? “With Redfin Collections, you can collect the beautiful, bizarre, or just plain jaw-dropping photos of homes
for sale on Redfin, and then share them with your friends.”
Hey, isn’t that what Burbed is for??

I wonder if the Contractor Grade Boom Box comes with it.
I know _I_ would have put that in the contract!

Wait a minute. No new posting today? Did the world end in Sunnyvale yesterday?
December 22nd, 2012 at 2:37 pm
I was wondering that too, but the last time I complained it was blamed on my browser.

Nah, I somehow managed to schedule today’s post for tomorrow, and I don’t know how I managed to do that. Maybe I was being super optimistic that not only wouldn’t the world end yesterday, but that it wouldn’t end today either.
