MLS#: 21126715NET ZERO – OFF THE GRID This 80 acres of pristine land with the ultimate view across Dry Creek Valley. This stunning virgin land awaits for the building of your ideal home with several buildling sites. A unique 1200 sq ft living structure with a 680 sq ft bedroom / mezanne.
When he sent this in, Tom observed:
It has a Mezanne! wHiCH Is LikE, waaaAY COOL!
Too bad it doesn’t have a bedroom. Are we supposed to sleep on one of the buildling sites instead? The mezanne doesn’t look comfortable.

You can’t fool us. This house is actually a giant-ass aluminum toaster. Too bad it’s off the grid.

Love how photos 2 & 3 demonstrate that the rug can be switched. Very special indeed.

I don’t know what’s the problem. A Quonset hut was good enough for my dad in Japan before he got shipped on to a foxhole in Korea…

Maybe our resident Doomsday Prepper, Alex, can chime in on this one. I don’t think it’ll score many points because while “off the grid” implies energy independence, the listing indicates that you just have to truck in your fuel:
Utility Information
Generator, Propane
Other Sewer/Septic (See Remarks)
Water Source: Spring, Storage Tanks

wow man, it’s so groovy. how can one not partake of this rad opportunity. all that righteousness for less than twice not a lot of money? sweet.
since it’s been on the market for over a year, i guess they’re not marketing it properly to the emerald triangle crowd. “net zero – off the grid” -living on a propane generator would certainly be a bunus for a farmer.

I’d think this place could be a good launchpad for a grid-free weirdo cult. Not only does California have some success in that arena, we haven’t had one in a while and that cycle should be due to reemerge.
