Only $1.5 million in Portola Valley? No Way (side)
Today we have a real purty property in Portola Valley. You know how we love expensive crap? Just crossing into this high-falutiin’ district will make your wallet squirm. It’s expensive here even if the land doesn’t have a house. So for this low (for PV) price, you know today’s feature will be good. That is, if by “good” we mean something not so good. Thanks very much to Burbed reader Petsmart Groomer for this find.

Take it away, PG:
No wonder people outside the Bay Area think we are insane. Even with a Ferrari in the garage (picture #18), I can’t see the value in that one.
Sometimes, when life hands a real estate agent lemons, it’s best to keep one’s mouth shut. The eager buyer will bring the water, sugar and ice — then beg to be sold lemonade.

I love the lack of remarks. Looks like the agent is from “Virtuous Real Estate” agency…perhaps their motto is “If you have nothing truthful to say, don’t say anything at all?” Which means they probably don’t post much copy ever.

Here’s my suggestion for truthful listing copy: “just bring a gallon of gas and a match.” (Instead of the usual “bring a contractor and your imagination.”)

Or how about “Great potential for camping with the whole family!”

this looks like a bachelor pad, and now the bachelor is trying to double his money. but he didn’t notice that the housing market took a punch.
the outdated crap he bought in ’07 looks even more ridiculous now. that turquoise bathroom rivals my childhood bathroom from the olde times.

But it has stainless steel appliances!
Well, all except the fridge. I don’t know what that is.

Definitely green construction, just look at the roof.
