Houses needing a little TLC selling over 1M have been seen before, a burnt house for 1.1? Figured it could be an interesting data point for you. A realtor would diagnose "hot hot burning hot", probably. Address seems to match. None of this is verified in any way, so please consume at your own risk.
We’re rather impressed with all the news stories provided on the fire, but one of them doesn’t just “seem” to match. It flat out has the exact address. So what are you all waiting for? Get over there to overbid so you can Build your Dream Home.

Wow, all that and a barbeque too! Too bad that tree didn’t burn. These old development trees that were right up on the house, needed to be taken out 20 years ago. My main question is… Mountain View is special, how do you get three recycling cans? I need at least two!

I wonder what happened there – was he using whiskey and hairspray to get the fire to light faster? Or he’s just such a hoarder, as the articles say, that he had stacks of old Mercury News Sunday Editions surrounding his fireplace. Lucky he’s in Mountain View, where pesky details such as the house being gutted doesn’t affect the sale price!

“pesky details such as the house being gutted doesn’t affect the sale price!”
This is obviously in the RBA, where light bulbs and Drano work wonders.

It also has sweet RPL (Real Power Lines) across the front of the property.

Thank u for covering, Mr. Madhaus – made my day, especially the nice touch with SirenBlink.gif. I wonder whether prospective buyers could get a waiver from the bank on the fire insurance, as a singing-bunus. Btw, in Google Maps you can see the slightly messy backyard, too.

About 2 years ago, a burned house sold in Saratoga (city and school district) for 1.1m. It wasn’t torn down; it was repaired instead.
This one is Mt View elem, not Los Altos. 1.1m seems too much, but we’ll see!

“New Listing!”. And the green little house turned into a green little tree. Nothing too interesting, just noticing …
