MLS#: 81241926This home is located in the desirable Rose Garden neighborhood. Needs a lot of work. Not livable now. Contractor’s special. Located on a 3,600 square foot lot. Has a lot of potential. Great opportunity for someone looking to move into a fantastic area.
This property is Special for a number of reasons, and we don’t just mean for Contractors.
That’s a Streetview shot on this property listing. The realtard didn’t even bother cropping it a little to strip out the Google logo. It also, LUCKY YOU, conveniently fell out of contract just a couple of weeks ago, and is relisted at the same attractive price.
Speaking of attractive, let’s swing that Streetview camera just a little to the right (below). While the white truck is intriguing, the station wagon is vehicular WIN. And from the satellite shot on the left, we can see exactly why this is such an attractive proposition: this looks like a Hoarder House. Can you imagine what sorts of “bunus” loot awaits the lucky buyer of this affordable home that wears its 98 years proudly?
Bunus Specialtude: This home has been featured as the cover photo of our brand new Facebook Page for a couple of days. Keep checking over there for new cover photos, and play “Find That Crapbox!”

Total overload on computing ability: I’m trying to identify all the warning signs pointing out that this place is not in the RBA.

Water the lawn? I don’t see any vegetation on this lot. The trees are probably next door.
I am intrigued by the home mechanic that went to the trouble to put a towel on the car to keep from scratching that old beater.

#2- You have it all backwards–he put that towel on the car to keep that old beater from scratching him.

Does that $350K include a set of flash-grenades or a case of napalm to finish the job?
Because if it doesn’t it should–$350K is almost half of not a lot of money, but the environmental mitigation is going to run way past not a lot of money.

“$350K is almost half of not a lot of money”
Almost half being equal to 70%.

I know this house, since it is in my old neighborhood. The folks who live there are total hoarders, very quirky. The house backs up onto the BARAC development that was a wonderful old agricultural area. Of course, the land could not be saved or turned into a park. It will be packed with homes.
A bunch of these folks on Forest sold out before the high rises looked over their backyards. The hoarder house in question used to have their stuff extending another 30 feet into the corner. They made them pull it back when the high density property started development. But every inch of the lot is full!

Doesn’t every city anywhere near 880/101 have a house that looks like this? Good thing I live in the RBA, where we don’t have to look at such things.

I thought the BAREC property had some contamination from the former Ag research? I like the solar panels – they almost look they are just laying on the roof – maybe they are portable? Does the big blue tarp come with the house? Nothing better than a tarp big enough to clearly see on an aerial shot. Makes it easy to pick out your place.

Since there are between 12,000 and 25,000 hoarders living in SF, chances are, you live next door to one and don’t even know it.

This house is no where near the BAREC property. It’s on the other side of 880. The house is adjacent to 205 Cleavland Ave and was the site of a SWAT standoff back in 2012. Here is the follow up article to the SWAT stand off here: http://www.mercurynews.com/ci_20504978/san-jose-police-identify-suspects-rose-garden-stabbing
Here is the listing from the realtor for the adjoining house http://www.bealeproperties.com/content/listdetail.html?propid=179119265

There was a shoot out at this property not long ago. One side on Cleveland Ave(next parcel) is still boarded up. One needs to check out the San Jose Mercury News on the details of shoot out. It was featured on TV Eve News also.
Yes, it needs to be cleaned up and trash out the junk. They used it for shop and who knows. Hopefully someone makes a cute house out it.
