Nothing like a rebuilt place that where you can take one look at the kitchen and say, yup, rebuilt in 2006. Definitely 2006. Added bunus: kitchen cabinetry matches the landscaping. Only in the Bay Area do we have homes so Special that they’re staged with that degree of fit and finish.
All this, and closed to Google too!

So refreshing.
So what am I getting for $300 a month in HOA fees for a studio? Who knows, but it’s not enough to actually list in the copy.
“If you charge it, they will pay”

From Redfin: “Year Renovated 1975″
“permits unknown,” maybe?

Looks fine to me, other than a 1-bed 1-bath on one level being categorized as a townhouse just because it doesn’t have anyone above or below.

Well you know, it doesn’t really matter what to call it.
In the copy it’s a townhouse, yet referred to as a Condo in the description.
Renovated? Try “Rebuilt”. It seems this was razed to the ground and “Rebuilt” in 2006. Judging from the outside, it looks it too.
No matter, the Chinese who buy this don’t really speak Engrish either. (is this comment in bad taste? Oh well).
Actually, I may be wrong. Let’s look up the term.
rebuild [riːˈbɪld]
vb -builds, -building, -built
1. to make, construct, or form again the cost of rebuilding the house
2. To make extensive structural repairs on.
3. To build again.
So, in other words, unless they changed the layout of the inside, which would involve moving walls an plumbing, which was done without a permit in 2006, then no, it’s renovated, and not rebuilt.
I also can’t think of anything I want more than crown molding in a 1bd/1bth which shares a wall with 2 other units.

“Well you know, it doesn’t really matter what to call it.”
…
…It’s still a POS.

Clearly being closed to Google means you won’t have to listen to their insufferable smugness at every hoa meeting as they refer to where they work.
“Do we want to switch gardening services? We’ve had complaints about shoddy weeding.”
“Well, at GOOGLE, when we have issues with a vendor, we try a holistic approach to integrating our needs with their capabilities.”
“Shut the eff up, Chad. Just… shut it.”

I want to bring the thumbs back just to vote for sfbubblebuyer‘s comment #6.

Me too.

Seriously, I was looking for a “like” or thumbs for #6.

This place looked more like the Bates Motel than a home. No wonder it’s listed cheaper than the last selling price in spite of the new bubble.

This is a $1200/month apartment that someone wants to pay $1,500/month for and rent for $3,200.

Someone seriously needs to plant a slightly scorched mannequin arm in the sea of red rock surrounding the back patio so it appears to be waving desperately for help. That would transform “seriously lame” to “FRIGGIN’ AWESOME” in one easy step.

That is a sweet idea. Maybe you could smuggle it into an open house.

At Google, we’d perform end-user experience testing for the thumbs-up before running it in a production environment.
