Has the work on the remodel been permitted? The picture makes me wonder whether the home conforms to the egreess requirements – http://www.nyc.gov/html/dob/downloads/pdf/means_of_egress_presentation.pdf.

“Today, the House of Representatives passed legislation that, if cleared by the Senate, would assure those employees would receive their back pay when the government reopens”

WTF? Free pay checks for Federal workers to be paid by U.S. tax payers? This is bullshit.

Pretty sure that’s a photo of Alcatraz.

#1, that’s why the shutdown doesn’t actually save any money. Except maybe the cost of utilities for a little while.

#2, I think if you’ve seen one old prison, you’ve seen them all. Kind of like Silicon Valley tract houses.

It just goes to show real estate is a great business, or a horrible ordeal if you’re on the wrong side of the fence. In the Bay Area, the only way to end the ordeal is to bite the bullet and buy a house.

  10. madhaus Says:

#1 and #2 are now #2 and #3 due to new #1 being rescued from moderation.

And yes, I know I didn’t write anything today. Tomorrow you’ll find out what you can do to prevent from happening again. Or at least from happening as often.

  11. Real Estater Says:

Renting is like a drug habit. Quitting is hard, but you gotta do it.

  12. madhaus Says:

I think buying is more like a drug habit. The crash is very very painful.
