Sunday, Oct 20: Open House – 1:00-4:00 pm

Let’s check in with LL on why this house got sent in:

The front of this house is sorta cute, and then this winner gets better with each picture.

yeah, I’m reduced to shopping in Boulder Creek, so what?! 🙂

There’s the W word again. Let’s see what Lefty Lucy meant about “gets better.” Maybe that’s in the Charlie Sheen sense as well.

And we’re only up to picture #9!  It gets even better.

    I have two comments:

    1) I was thinking…ok…what’s so burbedworthy about this place? It’s small, filthy, cluttered, in horrible shape etc. Then I came upon the PINK microwave. Who the hell has a pink microwave??? That was the beauty shot! Christmas shopping DONE! I know exactly what to get my pinkophobic wife!

    2) Why didn’t the agent just stop at the first picture and let folks see the beauty of the place in person?

  2. Metalhead Says:

I am right there with the pink microwave – awesome. Feels like all of the ceilings have a small pitch. Maybe this is an off-shoot of the Mystery Spot or the Winchester Mystery House.

  3. Jb Says:

the back view is lovely as well. pig head on floor competes with pink microwave

  4. maryjane Says:

Picture #18 – is that a wet vac?

  5. nomadic Says:

Sold in 2005 for $515,000. WOW.

Looks like they have squatters living out back too. Pic #24.

Let’s see if I picked the right pictures from your comments.

    #1, the pink microwave. Yowza.

#3, the back view of the pig head.

#4, the possible wet vac. Or attack drone.

    #5, the squatters.

  7. Dewane Says:

This might be common knowledge, but a good amount of the older houses up here were vacation homes, never made for full-time habitation. Thus the thin walls and out of plumb, low walls. I’m sure the wiring is not up to modern code as well.

This would be a blast to heat and cool (it gets really hot up there during the summer). You also get a lot of fireplace-burners up there, even on spare the air days, which makes for bad air quality during the winter. Those valleys really hold in the smoke.

Maybe the hwy 9 traffic will generate a bit of breeze on those still winter days.
