131027-walnut-yardSo, why is this a Realtard’s dream?

It’s not just the trifecta of stainless, granite and hardwood, or the “affordable” price of not much less than not a lot of money.  It’s not even the HDR photography that lovingly picks up every bit of the shredded plastic in the back yard.

Let’s hear the answer from wftf:

I have a perfect representation of the last 2 or 3 housing bubbles, all in one house!

131027-walnut-frontdoorMaybe people didn’t realize planes would be rumbling by overhead and couldn’t take it anymore after a year. This might explain the rapid turnover/flipping activity, but not all of it.

Selling 8 times in 25 years and going for number 9?  That’s got to be some kind of record.

Maybe the agent just has their card laminated onto the room divider when the residents give up.

That’s also a record for the fewest steps from the front door to the kitchen we’ve ever seen.  But check this out, the agent wasn’t kidding about close to transportation. And yes, that’s the airport off the right margin of US 101.

The Google streetview picture is from 2011, and it was for sale then too!

‘Featuring a Delightfully Upgraded Granite Countertops’ – I suspect I get more delight reading this than the contractor got doing the installation.

Awesome. Foreclosed twice in 11 years. Listed in August, went pending, and then relisted at 10% more than original asking.

someone will buy it – thats the miracle of Bay Area real estate

I wonder if this hurts or helps the value of the house Jobs’ grew up in:

    How about an HOA story?

  7. Real Estater Says:

Value is in the land. Marissa Mayer just bought a funeral home.

The commentary at the end is the most interesting:

    >>It’s weird. Because of all these billionaires trying to live normal lives, Palo Alto is a funny place with bizarre real estate.

You walk around and the houses look like they belong on any street in Small Town, USA.

Then you look them up on Zillow or Trulia and they cost $5 million and the monthly mortgage is $11,000 or so.

  8. Metalhead Says:

Close to transportation – freeway, train, BART, airport…. Just that much easier to get out of town! The past few owners have had the hardwood floors and remodeled kitchen. Looks like no one actually lived here over the past few sales.

Here’s an interesting take on home ownership from a tax attorney:

Clearly she lives far from the RBA and its specialness!

    Spectacular and pending!
