Charming 3 bedroom/1.5 bath ranch style home. Ready to move in! (Remodeled 2 years ago - kitchen/paint/texture/carpet)** BANK-APPROVED SHORT SALE !**

When I looked at this entry, the first thing I wondered was: What? No address? That’s peculiar!

But that’s when I remembered and realized that many rich and famous people do not want their addresses listed because they’re afraid of home invasions and robberies. Security is on the top of everyone’s minds these days - and no wonder. Crime is up again unfortunately. That’s why this house has its address hidden.

But then I started wondering - does this house come with the dubs or not? If it doesn’t come with the dubs, then no deal!

Dubs - oh yeah. They’ll make any house classy!

Thanks to sonarrat for sending this in a while back ago.

If this isn’t the sign of a market bottom, I don’t know what is. Come on… just $395,000 for a single family home? If this isn’t a steal, I don’t know what is! Let’s ignore the fact for a minute that it is $541 per square foot. Let’s also ignore those bold exterior colors that this part of San Mateo is so famous for. Instead, let’s look at some of the interior pics that are meant to dazzle and attract you:

Wow. Now Burbed isn’t always a big fan of staging, but this staging job is absolutely amazing. Just looking at this makes me feel like I am at home already. What? Don’t you envision your potential house with a hard side suit case on the bed? Or a bed where everything in the headboard will kill you in a 2.1 earthquake?

Excellent job listing agent! Excellent job!

sonarrat also wanted to call out picture 9, so let’s go to that:

Wow. That’s. Um. Yeah.

Well, for the price though, this can’t be beat. Easy access to an international airport? Come on! If this isn’t a sign that we’ve hit rock bottom in prices, I don’t know what is.

And guess what, when the new Terminal A is built and retailers like Armani, D&G, Chanel, and French Laundry: San Jose populate it, this neighborhood will be changed forever. Better buy now before you are priced out forever!

What an ideal starter home * hardwood floors with original charm * Buyer to verify SF and permits for additions. Master bedroom suite is not know if permited * Ideal location * Possibilities are endless.

It should be pretty clear now to everyone that there is a Real Bay Area, and a non-RBA. (Why there’s no wikipedia entry on this yet is a problem!) San Jose is fast falling out of the RBA.

But nonetheless, this house certainly has its unique selling points - hardwood floors with original charm, a master bedroom suite that may not have a permit. What more could you ask for at such a bargain bargain bargain price.

Like the copy says, the possibilities are endless. Wouldn’t you agree that this is a good starter home?

Contractor special. Small house on a big lot. Potential for new construction/addition.

$666 per square foot is pretty reasonable, given that this house isn’t in the Real Bay Area. But let’s face it, the real selling point of this house is that it is earthquake proof! Just from looking at this picture, you can already tell that this house has been stress tested and is well equipped to handle the next calamity.

Why risk the lives of you children by buying a brand new house that’s unproven? You want a house that you know has withstood the test of time. Furthermore, it’s like those $250 jeans - this house is distressed and distressed is HAWT.

It’ll also confuse robbers! “What is this? A pile of wood? A house? I’ll move on to the next place.” Safety first my friends!

So go ahead, go vintage. Go buy this house.

Description of 7430 Rogers La, Gilroy
Single family attached with 2 car garage. Bay window-needs some TLC and you got a beauty.

Yeah yeah I can hear it already: “But Burbed, Gilroy isn’t in the Bay Area!”

I know, I know.

But I thought it’d be fun to revisit Gilroy - it’s been over a year since Gilroy week!

Personally, I think this house has a certain charm. I like how it segues into a pink house, from a yellow house - kind of like a vanilla and strawberry ice cream mix. Yum yum.

Sure Gilroy isn’t in the Bay Area anymore, but really - where else can you go to get a house like this?

FANTASTIC RANCH HOME IN CONVENIENT AREA. CLOSE TO SHOPPING, TRANSPORTATION. HARDWOOD FLOORS, DETACHED GARAGE AND PLENTY OF YARD AREA. READY FOR YOUR BUYERS! WON’T LAST LONG AT THIS PRICE!

Wow… this color sure beats the house from December 2006 that the Queen of England was looking at:

http://www.burbed.com/2006/12/20/redwood-city-house-is-fit-for-a-queen/

Robin’s Egg Blue, or Kool-Aid Purple.

I’m guessing Kool-Aid purple would be better, after all it can attract the youth. Also, I’m a bit surprised that the add didn’t call out the giant apartment complex next door - just think about how much the shadow will reduce your cooling costs. And the metal gate on the door? Uh… that’ll keep your house cool too because you can leave the front door open.

You do want to live green don’t you?
