Thanks to Burbed reader Herve for this find.

Did you notice something unique about this listing?

That’s right… the first photo isn’t the one that’s being shown right now. It’s actually this one:

Clearly, this house is targeted at those who are dedicated to a lifetime pursuit of GTL. You know… Gym, Tanning, Laundry as introduced by Jersey Shore.

Let’s face it… we simply lack the media buzz that the East Coast and SoCal have. We must do more to attract reality shows to the Bay Area. Jersey Shore: San Mateo County edition might just be what the doctor ordered!

Who would you recruit for a project like this? What would the Bay Area versions of Snooki and The Situation be like?

HUGE PRICE REDUCTION-Cute craftsman style home with non-conforming detached in-law unit on R2 lot. Shows as 3 bed/1 full bath/2 half bath front unit; and 2 bed/1 bath rear unit-each with their own kitchen/laundry facilities. Desirable Burlingame school district, close walking distance to transportation/downtown. Live in one/rent the other, or use for family or business. Ample off street parking.

Is there anyone who doesn’t like options? This is America! Options, choice, opportunities, freedom, liberty, apple pie, neg am 60 year mortgages. You either love’em, you love terrorists.

In this case, you have plenty of options as this house both comes on a R2 lot, and has a detached unit with separate kitchen and laundry! Wowsers!

What will you do with this house? Will you tear it down and build 2 houses? Will you rent out both houses! So many decisions! So many possible ways to profit!

Any one want to do an NPV on this house? Before you do that, you might want to factor in some expenses…

Hm… I think that might require some work…

CONTRACTOR’S SPECIAL: Turn a blight into a beauty. Deferred maintenance residence on a mixed use street. Triangular shaped lot. Bonus rooms and bath behind garage (legality unknown), some dual paned windows, hardwood floors and period details.

Thanks to Burbed reader Jeff for this find!

Guess what everyone! Burlingame is now officially affordable! You heard it here first.

That stuff in the roof? Probably just some dirt that needs to be painted away. I mean, it’s located a little close to a few cars:

So… it’s probably just a little soot. Nothing some paint can’t fix.

That said. If you could keep the interior as is, you might be able to charge admission for it:

Hey… Is that a Hidden Mickey?

I think there’s a lot of potential here. And just think of all the opportunities with that funky interior, and the nifty triangular lot on the outside! The Burlingame Mystery Mansion perhaps?

Thanks to Burbed reader Pralay for this find.

Wow… this house will give you a view that will enable you to touch the sky.

You know what buying this house will really let you touch? Instant equity. That’s right!

Now, a novice would look at this and say “Hey, that’s $81,000 in instant equity.” A real estate professional, however, would know that there’s actually….

Yep. $345,905 in instant equity. Why? Because at a minimum, this house should have gone up 5% a year. Next year, this will be worth $1.597M.

So why is it selling for so little right now? December slow down, that’s all.

But come spring bounce? BOOYAH.

Beautiful Burlingame Mediterranean home in sought after Lyon Hoag neighborhood. This classic home has all the original charcter update for use today. Large formal living room, large formal dining room, separate breakfast nook and three large bedrooms make up the original home. Owners have improved and added the second bath to the fourth bedroom/family room downstairs. Large garage and basement

Alright… I’ve got a confession. I never knew about Lyon-Hoag. Sure it sounds like a Vienna/Vietnam fusion cuisine dish… or a virus… but apparently it’s amazingly sought after. Have you heard of it? Are you seeking it out? Why not?

Aside from that, we should all be impressed by the improvements – more bedrooms and bathrooms, and still a garage! Even a basement! Wow!

I’m not quite so sure what’s going back here:

A well? A spa? An outhouse? A secret passage?

Or is this more of the amazing Lyon-Hoag mystique?

New Price. 61K price reduction. Desirable Easton Addition. 3 bd/2ba, excellent schools, close to transportation and shopping. This meticulous and well maintained home features a vaulted ceiling living room w/ fireplace, dining room, family room, breakfast nook, all new stainless appliances, remodeled baths, hardwood floors, large yard, inside laundry room, landscaped and lush yard & 2 car attached garage. A patio and upstair deck face the backyard. Fine details and more. See www. 1312Montero. com.

The house is pink, the house is affordable ($61k price reduction!), and it’s in the “Desirable Easton Addition”. I’d never heard of it, but then again, I’m don’t consider myself a Burlingame expert.

Who knew that perfection is so affordable these days. This is a downright steal.

Any Burlingame experts here? Can anyone shed some light on this Easton Addition neighborhood? Is this one of the neighborhoods that makes this city the #12 Top 25 Town To Live Well?

Imagine coming home to this cute 2 bedroom, 1 bath Burlingame Cottage, and enjoying the convenient upscale location that is near transportation, downtown shopping and is in a great school district. You will appreciate the updated kitchen, with a newer stainless steel refrigerator, stove and a newer dishwasher, the beautiful wood floors, and the extra half bath.

Can you imagine that?

Well… apparently Burbed reader Sonarrat can. Here’s what he had to say:

Never mind that it’s on a busy road, within earshot of the train tracks and the Putnam GM dealership. Isn’t this hypnotizing?

The fact is that after you’ve spent $810k to buy this house, you will definitely experience it. The reason that you can’t imagine that today is simply due to the fact that you can’t afford the $900 per square foot. But once you can, it has been scientifically proven that your ability to imagine quintuples. And it’s that imagination that will make you rich!

So… therefore… buy this house… be rich.

After all, it’s Burlingame – and it’s got an extra half bath!

Reader Submission: $1 million in Burlingame

Hurray! Another reader submission. This one from Sebastian F who write:

Here’s what a $1 million will buy you in Burlingame. And bonus… the price was reduced!

Let’s check it out:

MLSlistings Property Detail for MLS number 601149
Burlingame, CA 94010

This Single Family Residence has the following features:
MLS#: 601149 Approx Age: 67 Years Approx Sq Ft: 1356

Ouch! A bit pricey! But it’s on sale: original listing price? $1,029,000!

Wow… that’s a whopping 3.3% off! With the $34k you save, you could pay the property tax for about 4 years. (While your neighbors who moved in there before 1978 pay like $100 a year in propety tax… but I digress…)
