This isn’t a teardown. This is ART!

Today we’re headed back to Cupertino, the land of million dollar tract homes.  This may not be the least expensive house in Cupertino, but it won’t cost you a million.  Best of all, admission to the art show is completely free!

Thanks very much to Burbed reader Tracy for sharing this set of museum-quality photos!  (Although please note I did not say what kind of museum they belong in.)

Charming, updated Cupertino home. Upgraded kitchen, Maple cabinets, Granite countertops, Laminate and tile flooring, Dual pane windows, Walk-in closet. Top Cupertino Schools. Close to shopping, schools, parks.

imageHere’s why Tracy was kind enough to share this trip to the art museum:

Another in my “best photographers of real estate” series. House must have a bad roof line. Or the artist just likes to frame his/her pictures in the bottom ¾ again. I really like the old fashion stereo shot. Also features room corners.

imageThere are so many winners in this collection that it’s quite difficult to choose a favorite, but I would have to say mine is “Small sink next to cropped out commode completely blocking access to the shower.”

What’s your favorite image?  I’ve included a few more compositions for you to mull over, but be sure to admire the entire oeuvre over at the Redfin Gallery.

But before heading over to the photography display, why not consider checking out the house?  The Redfin agent did so… eight different times.  He must really have a thing for art shots.

Maybe nines do well in selling art photography, but if the agent wants to sell the house, they’d better start looking for some eights.  So far, only the Redfin agent found any.

In a neighborhood of million dollar homes?  Is there any place anywhere in Cupertino that isn’t in a neighborhood of million dollar homes?  Or at least in a neighborhood of potential million dollar homes?  Just because the house backs up to apartments, is a block from a six-lane arterial, a six-lane expressway, and an eight-lane freeway doesn’t mean there aren’t million dollar homes somewhere.

Also we promised two Lucky 8s, and we delivered.  They aren’t in the asking price, either.  They’re in the street address, so you get to keep them!  Bid this one up to $688,888!

Nice quiet street. It has bright and open floor plan with very good potential. Remodeled it & live in or build your dream home. Sellers prefer “AS-IS” sale.

Thanks to burbed reader Madhaus for this find and for this explanation:

[This house] is so awful in the photos that burbed should feature it as another acid trip.  Hideous.  Hard to decide which is the worst photo, the front, the back “lawn” or the prominently featured roll of TP in the bathroom.  The unmade bed is another winner.  Also it’s in Rancho Rinkydinky, not “real” Cupertino.

Hm, personally I don’t think it’s as trippy as the last Acid Cupertino house featured on this site:

Most importantly, the price is lower – so it’s simply not as special.

Is the fall of Cupertino?? Is the rapture at hand? Will I be “left behind”?

Price just reduced. Value is mainly on the land. This property has already obtained city permit for building a house of two stories for a FAR of 44.7%, which is 3437 SF, including a 2-car garage. The approved blueprint of the plan is available to review upon request. The house currently has no PG & E; sink and toilet been removed. Time to build your own.

Frankly, I like dealing with professionals a lot more than amateurs. Clearly this Realtor and Seller know what I’m talking about. When you deal with novices, people who aren’t serious about buying, they tend to want to see things like… the house… the yard… the street… the door… the garage.

You know. All the BS.

Professionals know that when it is a plot of land in the Real Bay Area, it doesn’t matter what the photos look like – it’s in the RBA. You buy it. Period. Full stop. ’nuff said.

By not providing photos of this PG&E-less, sink-less, toilet-less house, this seller is doing you a favor. They’re telling you “Hey big boy flush with VMWare money… this is your house. Because you’re a pro. And so am I.”

Professionals. That’s what this house is all about.

But just for those of you who might be novices, here’s a gratuitous picture of your future dream home:

Look at that. Now don’t you wish you hadn’t seen this?

Novices. Sheesh.

Sweet! It’s a see through home. And it’s got a foam roof. (Does that mean asteroids will bounce off of it? What the heck?)

But wait… there’s more!

Alright Burbed readers! It’s Friday! That means it’s: “Write a story day”

My challenge to you: write a short story that explains what’s going on in these photos, why this person is selling, and what the guy in the photo saying to the potential customers.

Ready? Get set! Go!
